An ad that has appeared in a Japanese games mag teases a new project from Kojima Productions that will be revealed on May 18. The ad (blow) is a view of a stormy sky overshadowing a dry grassy field, with the date on the right and the URL www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/next (which didn't work at the time of writing) beneath that. Bilingual internet peoples (and Google) say that the word Raiden (the name of the major Metal Gear Solid character, and the main playable character in MGS2) means "thunder and lightening" and, we've read, is also the alternative name for Raijin, a God of thunder and lightening in Japanese mythology. Adding to that, look at the shapes in the clouds carefully and it kinda looks like Snake lying down (his head on the right page, body on the left). So that's us hoping for a new MGS game starring Raiden for PS3 to be revealed, but of course it's all just speculation at the moment. Five days to go though (please don't be an iPhone game).

The image of Snake Big Boss said in the original Metal Gear when Snake infiltrated the base, "theres a storm coming". The Setting looks to be in Africa, where Big Boss created Zanzibar Land. Could be a re-make?

Chaps, new MGS is called Metal Gear Solid: Rising. Instead of the original "Total Espionage Action" phrase, this one has "Total Lightening Bolt Action" Look on here, says it all. www.konami.jp/kojima_pro/e3_2009/en/

Also, the main character does look to be Raiden, well guessed Lew.

I was under the impression that Guns of the Patriots was to be the last one. It's all good though apart from them changing the catchphrase to Lightning bolt which indicates to me that it'll be all out action rather than a stealth game which is what I've always loved about metal gear, hopefully it'll be a better game than guns of the patriots, because that was virtually a movie a good one none the less.

Guns of the Patriouts was the last metal Gear Solid- staring Snake as the main protagonist, his story is now closed.
The other new one on the psp stars Big Boss and is called MGS- Peace Walker and is really fucking annoying that its only being made to shift the new PSP: Go, as pointless as the DSi.
