In the Premier league after our first season?
Harry Rednapp for me a long with Big Sam. Two top english managers who know how the game should be played.
Gareth Southgate seems a nice chap too.

In addition to Pulis:-
- Hodgson. - Zola. - O'Neill. - Moyes.
All seem to be decent human beings worthy of respect.

David Moyes. I think he's an outstanding manager who has proven he has the ability to work with or without money.
Spent most of the season without a recognised striker. Did'nt have a lot to work with so went for the out of favour Jo from Man City on loan and has achieved another top 6 finish and an FA Cup final to come.
Roy Hodgson a very close second. A humble, respectful man who never reduces himself to whinging, whining or mind games. Gets on with the job and is a very useful tactician.

I LIKE Hodgson and O'Neil best, but (tin hat on) in terms of respect for what he's done over the years and continues to do, I'm sorry to say it's Fergie.

Pulis and Ferguson.
The latter has my utmost footballing respect, won everything on countless occasions, and Man United were hardly brilliant and hugely wealthy when he took over - all their success and money has been generated from his period.
It's hard to see how no one could respect Alex Ferguson - i hate manure(the fans more than anything), but he deserves respect for what he's done in our sport. Purple nosed alcholic or not.

What about the other 19 teams when the premiership started? Very much all in the same boat financially to an extent really, hence the likes of Blackburn winning it. I'm not on about the current team, I'd fancy any decent manager to win it with that lot given how talented they are - but it's how he's BUILT it over the years, they are improving year by year and it all started from a few kids from the youth. And this thread is a bit stupid, is it respect for their profession, or is it respect because they are "nice" people. Seriously, SOUTHGATE? Yep, he's earned my respect, taking a steady premiership team down - oh sorry, he does have a big nose but he seems like a nice bloke who you could have a pint with.

Phil 'Tango' Brown - such a decent bloke, doesn't seem to love himself at all. Arsene Wenger - really humble in defeat when he got back to London. Alex Ferguson - not at all irritating and arrogant. Tony Mowbray - Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
