Do you think we are going to blow our Premier League status over these last few games or do you think we are safe??? No matter how I look at the remaining games, I can't see us going down as there are too many results that would have to conspire against us to put us in the bottom three. I am sure we'll be ok

We are safe.
I thought we were before today and now we've got another match out of the way and the bottom clubs haven't made any ground on us and the ones playing tomorrow are highly unlikely to!
We are even more secure than we were before kick off imo

But if Newcastle win??? Still can't see it but just a little tense. It would be nice to pick up something at Hull, then we would be safe for sure.

Yep remember if the results go well tomorrow then we are SAFER than we was on Friday !! Games are running out and ok we lost the last 2 but out of the 4 we had on the trot the next 2 are the ones i thought we could get some points out of. I never expected anything at Fulham and a point today would have done. We will be fine and will get points in the next 2 anyway to gain places. What do places make ???? ......................£££££££££

I agree, so long as the results are in our favour come Monday night, then we will be ok, I think!

OK we are 8 points clear of newcastle and Boro, castle play tomorrow against Liverpool who are going for the title
after that there are 3 games left, thats nine points
Newcastle then have to play
Boro (h) Fulham (h) Villa (a)
and win all 3 to pass us
Boro have
Toon (a) Villa (h) West Ham (a)
and have to win all 3 to pass us
I think even the dimmest will see that they both can't actually pass us
our goal difference is -17 , toons -16 , Boro -26
There are also Portsmouth, Blackburn, Hull and Sunderland between us and them
basically we need 1 point, or we need to do as well, or better than 2 teams below us (one of which will be either toon or boro, as explained earlier)
No I'm not scared at all, it would require the mother of all fuck ups for us to go down

Newcastle win tomorrow and then both Newcastle and Boro can get ahead of us. Yes, I know it's unlikely but even though the past couple of years has seen us overcome such stupid outcomes, we are talking about Stoke here. To be honest, I think the wine is going to my head. I am sure we are safe but...

liverpool beat newcastle 2mz and I will have a big drink !!! only 1 of them could then catch us and even though its stoke I cnt see us cocking it up, especially with 1 more game at the fortress Britannia to get anything that would be needed

We can lose all 3 games and still stay up, there's no way in this world that castle/borough are gonna pick up more than 6 points. And thats not thinking about hull 0 Points & sunderland 2 pts

Anyone who believes that we will go down from this position must suffer from some sort of neurotic disorder.
If we did lose the final five games of the season, we might even deserve to, but we all know that aint gonna happen - don't we?

To answer the question at the top of the thread - no I am not in the least bit scared. We'll be staying up, I am certain of that.

Not scared but a bit frustrated that we haven't been able to do it "in style" by picking up something in the last couple of games - as someone said it's typical Stoke, but if anyone had offered us this position with 3 to go at Christmas I think we would have bitten their hand off.....

Am I mising somehting here ?
OK, newcastle and Boro can't BOTH pass us, but THREE teams go down, remember ?
Baggies can't catch us, and either Newcastle/Boro can't either, but that leaves Hull, Blackburn, Sunderland and Pompey along with Newcastle/Boro who CAN
so we are not safe yet, and given that "Hull can't win at home" - erm, this is Stoke, remember, how many times have we helped teams to immediately end bad runs ?
Don't forget that despite us winning "most" of OUR home games.......our "fortress" was breached easily by West Ham yesterday and Wigan won't just turn up to lose.

i will be worried if newcastle can somehow win at liverpool but if liverpool win then we are 8 points clear with a possible 9 points to gain... newcastle and boro have to play each other... so COMON LIVERPOOL!

I think we are safe, but I still crap it every time another round of matches gets played. We have lost the last two, but so have most of the teams below us and that keeps us safe. It could have become a lot worse over the last two weeks. Eventually if this continues it will just time out on the bottom three. I do wonder whether the players also think we are safe. Another three points and they can all go on holiday and send out the youth team as far as I'm concerned. In the meantime a draw or two would just calm the nerves.

Looking at our form, the best that we can hope for is a point in the two away games and if we don't get it then it may all come down to the Wigan game.
To be honest, If we do stay up, I am really worried about next season. The evidence of yesterday is still affecting me but we could well end up relegated unless we invest in practically every area of the pitch.
Of the regulars, who have often played above their standing this season; Wilko, Delap, Lawrence, Etherington, Sidibe, Pugh, Higginbotham, Cresswell, Whelan? all need replacing even if this is gradual.
I cannot see us retaining the home form of this season and if the away form continues, we're fucked.
