I rate the guy, not one of his better performances yesterday as Blackburn did a good job on Ethers never giving him anytime to settle.

At the end of the day, when one of the markers on Ethers is a Dutch international, we shouldn't be expecting too much should we?

Blackburn did double up on Matty but we also didn't help him with the way we played. It seemed he always got the ball passed to him when a defender was on his back so it was hard for him to have a run at their defence, or the ball was hit high which definately isn't playing to his strengths.

At the end of the day, when one of the markers on Ethers is a Dutch international, we shouldn't be expecting too much should we? That's a valid point to be fair and probably the only thing I would criticise Ether's for was his decision making against his marker. With the ball at his wingers feet Oijer is always favourite, however he isn't that quick and perhaps Matty should have tried to knock it and run? I like Matty though, he's positive, carries the ball well and is getting into scoring positions even if he hasn't managed a goal yet. It'll come.
