barring a major fuck up then we are staying up but please dont invade the pitch against wigan as the league could dock us points.
It would be pointless

they wouldn't dock us points if the whistle had gone, what would their reason be?
that said, we dont want an invasion

No need for a pitch invasion. It'd make us look daft.

All this scare mongering about having a points deduction if we go on the pitch at the end of our last game is just talking stupid and will NOT happen.Rule by fear just like our bloody government. If the kids want to go on then bloody let them ,theres no harm in it at all.All of our supporters over 35 all went on the pitch every year in the past no matter where we finished and it was great fun .So i say on the pitch for those who want to.

Although the significance of staying-up would certainly NOT be lost on me, I think a pitch invasion of any sort would make us look a bit small-time.
Come the day, come the hour, massive celebratory mentals in the stands is what we want with our boys on the pitch lapping it up and taking it all in.
Anyway, let's sort the maths out first.......

The FA have a World cup bid underway. Like anything in English football the threat of violence remains a deterring factor. If a pitch invasion occured and a match was disrupted it would make news across the world. Because occurences in the Premier League make new across the world. All the good work of the last telve months could be undone and mud sticks. We'd be perceived as morons with no self control. The FA would want to show that whole world that they can clamp down hard on these idiots and could make an example of someone (us) by deduciting points.
The other side is that the players and managers efforts this season are worthy of a lap of honour so they can be rightfully applauded and everyone gets a chance to cheer them properly. As a wiser Stokie than me said recently, perhaps it's time for some people to put Stoke City above themselves.

Pitch Invasion last season was amazing, never felt anything like it, I feel sorry for anyone that didn't do it and stood there looking down in disgust !
If we're comfortably safe in the league then no I don't see the point, the celebration will have been had, however (and please God surely this can't happen), If by some freak of nature we need a result at the Emirates to secure safety(ie a last day of the season result like last year) and we get it, I'll be getting some London grass on my 'plates of meat' ! ;D

It is a sad day when supporters are told that they can not go onto the pitch once the game is over to celebrate what is a great achievement. Very, very sad and I don't understand the supporters who can't see the pure stupidity and pathetic nature of it.

i dont think a pitch invasion is a good idea, we can just all go mental in the stands for ages and let the players do their lap of honour on the pitch and whatever else they want to do!

Well last season the game was disrupted. It wasn't meant to be BUT one went on before the end of the game and others followed. What if that happened again? It only takes one and you have an incident. Why take any risk? Why no self control? Now id cards have ben lifted why do anything to show us in a negative light? Why ruin it for the players and manager? Why ruin it for the fans who won't get the chance to give the players the acclaim they so richly deserve?
Lap of honour would be more appropriate.

Shiny nose I never looked down in disgust at all the fans on the pitch, it looked great from where I was. I just didn't have the need to join them I enjoyed it just as much from my seat and it looked amazing

I don't think anyone in their right mind would bother invading the pitch when we are safe with 5 games to go anyway.

Why does going on the the pitch after the game ruin it for anyone!? Take a look at the video from the game that got us up (once finished!), does anybody look unhappy? Wilko, Simo? Time to grow up guys, rules of rules sake.

I agree Joe, purely because I believe we are quite comfortably safe
However, as I mentioned in the dodgy last day scenario, If it was last day survival I'd be on there in a shot

No need for a pitch invasion. It'd make us look daft. don't u remember last season ??? pitch invasions are great ;D Pitch invasion for being promoted to the top division for the first time in 23 years is one thing. Doing it because we're staying up, when we knew we likely would be for a good six weeks before the end of the season, seems small-time and a bit gay like.

Rather not have one. Let the lads have a lap of honour when we can all see properly. It really annoyed me when those silly twats rushed on early last year.
