Svard was inconsequential - one of the many anonymous players we have been subjected to whilst in exile.
I suppose I have been spoiled by seeing some real quality playing for us in the 60's and 70's.
Lets hope we see some real quality playing for Stoke over the next decade in the Prem.

Where's Skoko these days? Skoko was released by Wigan after he left us He went on to play for Croatian side Hajduk Split in 2008 where he signed a two year contract Cheers! Good to hear he's still playing at a decentish level.

I remember that goal aswell. Came on as sub against a team who were then a league above us, and had just been relegated from the Premier League, just carried on his run into the area and buried his header in the back of the net. He probably didn't even know the corner had been taken and it just hit him.

Dadasson was a free transfer in the sense that we didn't pay his club a fee but his value in the transfer was paid to him in a signing on fee. It depends who you believe as to how much that was but the lowest figure I've heard was £500k.

That goal against Barnsley sealed us a game against Liverpool, and a subsequent 8-0 home thrashing so even the good things he did turned sour lol

Dadason's debut winner is one of my all time favourite Stoke City moments. He wasn't great, and he wasn't up for a battle when things got tough (as his gutless display in the Potteries derby showed the following season) but he had his moments. Unfortunately the hype prior to his arrival, heightened by his dramatic entrance, made it incredibly hard to live up to.

I'm sure I can remember Bjarni and Dadason playing up front together in the latter stages of an away game at Peterboro and ripping their defence apart between them, can't recall the score.
