Yeah get rid of that crappy admin/club shop block. Never liked it. Club shop needs to be relocated (maybe if J/S Boothen corner gets done put it there).

I reckon the club shop should be relocated so it is detached from the Stadium completely. Trying to put one in the stadium will always result in either a shop which is too small or concourses which are too small. If a single story shop was built on site but separate from the stadium there is no reason why most of the club offices could not be build as a second story above the shop. That would give much more room under the two new corners of the extended John Smiths for larger changing rooms, perhaps a media centre and decent sized, less congested concourses and maybe a ground level bar/bistro.
It will take some years and depends upon Stokies filling the new seats as each phase is completed, but I'd rather see a first class job done at leisure than a botched one done in haste.

Some good ideas there, Lakeland. Don't know about a new media centre, though, as we've just (October) forked out £500,000 for our present one!
Quite a few clubs have a separate shop and ticketing block, (Sunderland an obvious example) in order to provide more room for supporters. Could use some of the extra space for what would be a welcome supporters' club/programme sales outfit.

Or you have the option aswell if you can't fill a corner in or putting another tier onto the seddon and boothern or even another onto the John Smiths.

I went to Lords on Tuesday and was fortunate enought to visit the 'spaceship' type Media Centre there - it is something to behold! (Also had lunch in the Long Room with Andrew Strauss, you can't help but be embroiled in the history of the place - also saw the Ashes close up!)
They have a teriffic 'Pavillion' sports bar on the complex too showing Sky etc thats open all week.
They would perhaps be better served turning Delilahs into the new club offices/shop and ticket office?
Would prefer if they build a new bar seperate to the ground (perhaps at the back of the Boothen) and put some thought into it this time...would be ace to have a decent sports bar there that could double up for functions/meetings/corporate stuff in the week etc. The location of the ground doesn't make it a viable 7 days a week pub though alas, especially with the Harvester being across the road.
The exec suites inside the ground (Waddington etc) - are they used all week round or just on matchdays?

So what does West Broms windbreaker look like then? ANd what are the 'murals' that Leicester have? Sound like the Brit will be undergoing a major over-haul over the summer. Personally, like the bit about new Car Parks close to the ground!! How about tarmacking over the existing ones aswell, people could drown in the massive pot holes we currently have!! ;D

I don't know why they don't build a decent sized ticket office and shop on the other side of the car park near the foot bridge to the Incinerator. this is the biggest improvement that is needed. The current club shop and T.O are pitiful

I see Stoke have got surveyors in to look at the existing foundations in the corners

Do you think we'd be looking at something like the main stand corner at the Riverside, being as ours is virtually identical? I like that. Block 19's roof is higher than the rest of the Boothen so their sped up delilahs drift off into the night.

Our ground is identical to the Riverside as we borrowed their plans to save money. It was one of Moxey's little schemes.
The improvements could follow along Boro's lines, but I dont particularly like the way they have joined the main stand to the rest of the ground.
Time for a little lateral thinking here and a design which is unique as well as impressive.
I liked WBA's ticket office as it was an office ie indoors for customers. Perhaps the club shop could become the ticket office with a new club shop built. If this shop was part of the corner between the West Stand and Boothen with the concourses moved further back it would make a lot of sense.
Probably hellishly expensive, but you can dream can't you.

I've had a go and even if I say so myself the result is fucking magnificent. Wouldn't be too costly either. H Nice! I like that you've thoughtfully added a bird bath for Rory to clean the ball in ;D

Judging by what The Pieman...Peter Coates says, in that article, the proposed winbreak would sit in between The Boothen and the JS..not the Seddon/South Stand..which presumably would be the first to be filled in...
And to stop the fans going 'soft'..once the corners are fiiled in, we should install massive refrigerators, fire-hoses and wind machines, constantly running throughout the game, to give us that 'competitive edge'...
Great News if true...

I was thinking that the new John Smiths/South Stand corner (when it is eventually built) could have a studio in it overlooking the pitch - the one I have seen on TV seems a bit cramped. However, if the new media centre you describe fulfills that job then I withdraw my suggestion! ;D

Why not "Sod the Corners" and just put an extra tier on the Boothen/Seddon sweep . Lift the roof, extra tier , bang in some exec boxes , not a "full size" tier, but enough to add 5-6000 seats where people want them . We get to keep the cold intimidating atmosphere, get more exec boxes for revenue , and if we ever need more capacity we fill in the corners then, (to same height as upper tier) so they actually give a meaningful increase in capacity, whats the point of doing them now if it will only add 1500 seats . leaving the away end till last so they sit there all on their todd in this seperate stand whilst the rest of the ground dwarfs them
