Title speaks for itself...
Personally I'll go for Abdy Faye, rock solid in defense and an all round legend. :-)

I'm starting to wonder by the end of the season we may have to add Whelan to that Bayern.

I can't decide. Faye Fuller Shawcross Delap Beattie ??? It's amazing that Beattie can even be considered seeing as he's only been here since January, it just shows how well he's done.

Abdoulaye, my Lord, Abdoulaye.
Although I am really pleased that Ryan, Wilko and Whelan have really stepped up to theplate and kept out some of our "big" signings

Beattie has done extremely to be considered I agree. Whelan and Sorro are all pushing for a vote too. But I think I'd have to plump for Abdy too!

Imagine if he got voted player of the season, he's already said he loves us... I wonder how he'd react to that. ;D

I think Shawcross would have walked it most other years, he's been outstanding since he got back in but there can be only one.

Abdoulaye by a street.
Been some great performances by lots of people for smaller periods but for the whole season he's been in a different league should win it by a landslide.

PLayer of the season has to be Ab Faye. From the day he arrived he has been immense and would walk into almost any side in the Prem outside the top six. Obviously that excludes Newcastle! ;D
Have you noticed that, towards the last quarter, no opposition player even tries to get the ball off him when he dribbles it out of defence. It reminds me of that point in many boxing matches when one boxer loses all hope! ;D

abdy best Shawcross most improved
Both immense, and without these two I think we would be in WBA's position

Abdy both for his own performances and for the frankly astonishing effect he's had on Ryan as the season has progressed.

1 of these 5 for me: Abdy Faye Whelan Shawcross Wilkinson Beattie agree there could add in a few more Whelan? Doing great recently, nothing special first half of the season Shawcross? The next best i'd say but not for the whole season Wilkinson - PLAYER OF THE SEASON ??? ;D ;D ;D Beattie - Been brilliant but only been here 10 games. Anybody else - form up and down. Only 1 Abdoulaye

Sorenson. Just remember when it comes to the vote - it could have been Carson Seriously though although he has made a few errors in away games he has been outstanding in the rest and has given leadership to the back four and gives a presence that we havent had from a keeper at Stoke in long time. Not suggesting he is player of the season by the way but if we manage to stay up I would vote for the entire squad and management team to be honest. They have all contributed in some way and I think that would reflect the way we have come together as one this year for the cause.

1. Abdoulaye Faye - legend 2. Thomas Sorensen 3. Ryan Shawcross (but young player of the year by a country mile).
I reckon you have to play 25-30 games to get considered for player of the season, so this discounts the ever so impressive Beattie.
Rory would be my 4th choice - immense throws, and has done a solid job wherever he has played across the midfield and has popped up with a couple of goals to boot. If I had to pick a 5th, it would be the dependable Higgy.
Liam has missed too much and is only now getting back into some kind of form; Fuller has missed some time too and cannot be awarded it simply for the West Ham "incident". Mama started great, but then his knee injury unfortunately halted him in his tracks. Whelan has played well of late, but had an anonymous first half of the campaign. Wilko is the most improved player, but is still some way short of Premiership class IMHO. Outside of that, no one bears consideration.

Simply too many to chose from
I think you are too harsh on Fuller Jezza.
He's come up with the goods at the right time.
I'd still consider Beattie as well.
Sorenson, Abdy, Shawcross, Higgy, Delap would all be worthy nominations.

Here's how I'd rank em: 1. AbFaye is far and away the most valuable
2. Beattie - scored so many crucial goals 3. Sorenson - has made some insane saves (though has been off since taking that shot to the dome) 3a. Delap - wouldn't have had those early goals (and early shit talkers) without him. 5. Shawcross - a few great goals and incredible improvement 5a. Matty - his pace and width makes us a multi-dimensional team. 6. Kitson - we need a laugh don't we?
