Maybe not mathematically, strictly speaking; maybe we could stay up with home results and some luck with other clubs' results. But it's crucial IMHO to keep the momentum going. A win there would be worth much more than just three points. Mentally it would be an immense lift to club, supporters, everyone. Opinions? BTW I wish Fox had shown the Boro match over here How 'bout that Ryan Shawcross? He's redeemed himself (not that he really needed to, mind) for that unfortunate OG, and then some. Shawcross for England, eh?

Dont totally agree
We MUST not lose - Else we will be back in the shit but a draw will be fine enough and allow us to go into the castle game knowing that a home win against them would see us looking VERY good indeed.

Not like Mr 33 to join the doom mongers and be a pessimistic PHW! ;D

It would be nice to win, but a draw would relegate Brazil and the point would be more than useful.
Beating Dull would be far more useful if we can win just one away game.

7 points from the next 3 games is a MUST If you have ambition of getting in Europe, yes it is. To avoid relegation we need 8 from 8, possibly less.

Mr 33 - I forgot you don't read the board as often as you used to. PHW is an affectionate term coined by mcf for those people who don't like TP. It stands for Pulis Hating Wankstains - and I was, of course, joking when I called you one. ;D

West Brazil is our last chance of doing the double over someone this year as the way the Arse are playing we aint getting squat from there.

It's not often you post nowadays Mr Tirty-Tree.
But yes I agree, to get our first away win at this point in the season, not only will it keep up the momentum, but should condemn WBA to the fizzy pop league.

I think, with our resiliance at home, that if we beat Brom, were safe.

We need four points on the road from somewhere wherever it comes from it doesn`t really matter. We cant rely on home form alone because we will surely come a cropper in one or maybe even two of our final home games.

i just have this horrible feeling that this will be the year they finally beat.
dunna worry though, arsenal will have nothing to play for, and neither will we, and thus we will win our only away game of the season at The Emirates

i'd take a draw at the baggies if offered now but i think if we can go there and get the ball into there box we will score and a win against the baggies would take alot of pressure off us for the newcastle and blackburn games. i wanted 8 points from the next 3 and boro but that included not losing to castle. So 4 points from the next 2 games would be great imo.

Four points from the next two games would be a great haul. Not quite cigar time but we would then need just four poins from six games and be looking good

They will see it as MUST win - If they lose to us they are as good as gone Yeah. We have to go there looking to win the game, although a draw wouldn't be cataclysmic. Anything other than a win for the Baggies, however, and they're, well, fucked (or well-fucked). As it is, they need to discover Champions' League form to stand any chance of staying up.

Wouldn't take a draw as they are so bad at the back we should exploit them. True they've got to beat us but feel if they're chasing the game we can seriously punish them.
They're where they are for a reason and to be fair don't think they have 1 player that would get into our side.

What's that? Maybe when hell freezes over?

be classic Stoke to get our 1st away win at Arsenal.
they could of course put 5 past us but a sneaky 1.0 wouldnt be a shock either.
Hull is nearly always a 1.1 draw.

I'll be extremely worried if we lost to Brazil. We can't sit off like we do for every other away game, the midfield 4 have to get stuck into them straight away. If they don't, they (on a good day) can play through us and beat us.
