I doubt it would be Barnsley. They have just signed stallard from Notts county and they must be still skint aswell.
Wouldn't it be ace to get rid of lumo and greenacre and be able to have a choice from 4 very capable strikers. We would be starting to look like a proper team then. Lumoos contract runs out at the end of the season, so being able to offload him is not a major worry. However, can anyone really see a club taking Greenacre of our hands? We really need to move on the deadwood with him being the priority.
On another note about strikers, doesn't Warnock have a real thing for them. Whilst already having Lester, Ward, peschisolido, allison he's gone and brought in paul shaw, dean sturridge and lee morris!
p.s please don't let this lower league striker be trundle.
Would be very surprised if it was Trundle as we had a good look at him last year and declined to take him in the summer.
Possibly his injury may have persuaded us but on the other hand we did take GNW.
This lower league striker rumour has been doing the rounds for a while and Boulding I must admit is the name I'd heard from 3 different people. I was under the impression it was on condition we got rid of a couple of others first so perhaps it was another club. As Gareth said one or two first div clubs were interested including Gills (who signed Agyemang) and Reading ( Owusu) so who can say?
Hmm, iv'e just read that planetfootball article. It says that a clause in bouldings contract means he can move on for 45000. So it must have been a really crap offer; why would the bidders offer less than 45000 because its pretty unlikely that grimsby would accept it? it must be 1 really skint club if they don't make a follow up offer of the required fee.
Saying that, iv'e just seen on teletext that gillingham have signed pouton off them for 30000. Good bit of business him and Agyemang. There really are some bargains around at the mo aren't there! Makes it even less likely for us to be able to get rid off greenacre.

Haven't Barnsley signed Stallard from Notts County?.
I noticed Walsall being linked with him, but there was a rumour on the rivals board that we were interested in him.I think it was supposed to have come from a writer from the Grimsby Evening Telegraph.
