I'm not usually one to gloat, but I'd just like to remind you all of your mindset and comments in January.
All regarding a certain number 20.
"Beattie wont score"
"Beattie is past it"
Sorry, Fortune who?

Lets not brag boys!! People always seem to have the last laugh when we do things like this eg Beattie breaks his leg or they go and win 10 on the bounce! Lets concentrate on our own game!

I'm seriously worried about the Baggies, and I hope they get their arses in gear to stay in this league! How will we cope without the annual 6 point head start next year

If thats how Mowbray wants to do it, let them. Was watching their defence from the last few games last night and they were bloody laughable, as W.D rightly puts it, like a wizards sleeve.

I spoke to a Baggies supporter the other day who is fully behind Moanbry and said he would rather they go down and play like Stoke - unbelievable. Now i have been a vocal critic of Pulis-ball but surely both Our Tone's rimmers and Mowbray's brainwashed disciples must see that there should be a middle way which would be better for both clubs.

They're all loopy, tbh I really think it's just an excuse they use because they know they are going to go down.

I was at the inlaws (Baggy season ticket holders) listening to the Villa match on my headphones, I never told them that we had pulled one back, so the look on her old man's face when I went dancing round the lounge after wheelans equiliser..... Priceless

The ONLY time to do any gloating would be at the end of the season when they've gone down and we've stayed up.
However, I do recall being on their message board last season (very civilised discussion, to be fair to them) and being told that our style was doomed to failure in the Prem and they had a far better chance of being able to cope with their much nicer passing game.
Just shows how wrong you can be or just how much you can be taken in by your own hype.

Like I said I'm not one to gloat, and it wasnt about we'll be up, they'll be down, just the fact that Beattie is bringing them in thick and fast when according to them, was a flop signing.
Potter_Beach, dead right mate. They wont want to admit the predicament they are in because they are staying true if you like to the way they play.

We aren't too flash we just do things efficiently-in other words the players know what job is expected of them, and it is up to them to do it. If we survive this season then I can see us being like Bolton a lower/mid table team.

Its a masterpiece of arrogance and delusion

lordeffinghamhunt, "Go and bung it on their baod". What is a "baod"? Is it some kind of West Midlands dialect, or a posh word for "Board"

Well at least we can relax now that we're almost certain to be playing in the fizzy pop again next season. I just hope that both you and Hull stay up because (1) it will deny our management any excuses about resources (2) I reckon two from Boro, Pompey and Blackburn would adapt less well to the fizzy pop. Your manager has does a remarkable job, but if by some fluke we beat you next month I might still come on here for a little gloat. Good luck.

it aint even the baggies fans that annoy me, it`s that stubborn idiot manager- tony"it`s not about results but playing good passing football" mobray, he must fill the albion fans & board with confidence after saying that after every defeat, his last pearl was " if we go down, we`ll do it passing the ball, you will never see my team scrapping or roughing it". come on, all the prems best sides can scrap and get "dirty" when they need to. WEST BROM ARE WELL & TRULY FOOOOOOKED!!!! ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ??? ???

Fair play to them for admitting they were wrong. Nothing wrong in that.
Save the gloating until we are on 42 points though.

That is a fantastic thread and I just hope they are saying it at the end of the season! We are far from safe but have given ourselves a really good fighting chance. As for the Baggies, we are now 7 points clear of them which is a very big gap at this stage of the season. It is going to take a lot of mental (and physical ) strength for them to catch us.

I go on there now and again and to be fair most on there seem decent proper footie fans. Yes they talk their team up as we all do but most are OK. There are a couple that don't like 'outsiders' on their board but they are normally just the Moanbray worshipers.
