out of 10 what would you give him?? i thought seen as though Pulis is sayin he aint at his peak fitness yet and he aint played in god know's how long he had a good go at it today! he seemed eager to impress little bit to eager at times and think he got a little frustrated in the second half but i would probz go for.... 7 out 10 but i think when hes back to his best he's still going to be our best player

I think 7 is fair too. What shocked me was how many times he skinned people. Usually he can't beat his man but today he did it regularly and got 5/6 fouls in doing so. He's a good distance away from full fitness though, which is a real shame.

Looking good. Can't wait for him to get 100% match fit. Still whole hearted player, but with ability too. Give him an 8.

Thought he had a very good game considering he was only 70% fit so its 8/10 from me.

Another 7
Twice he got to the bye-line which he hardly did last season, and in the first half he tracked all the way back and won a great tackle in the right back position
Looked confident and lively on the ball, and nearly did James with that long range dipper
Dont think BT was pleased with his free kicks though

To me, he doesn't get enough balls into the box.

I'd say a 7 would be a fair. He (to use a Tonyism) worked aaard, looked fitter than I thought he'd be. But still not 100% there. But I know this will come. I was very happy to see him on the field today (as was my girlfriend ![:o](//storage.proboards.com/800541/images/7TTgAtwUz19SBi0cvrCX.gif) ), and he played well and worked his misters off. Very happy with his performance.

I thought 7, he picked the ball up well and always looked like he may create, although his final ball sometimes let him down which looked like it was a lack of sharpness. He looked along way from fitness for me especially when he went to take a corner on the left after about half an hour, it took him along time to get over there. I would think about giving him 45 mins of the reserve game on tuesday and then 60-70mins again at Villa. If he can get near last seasons performances then it will be a big plus for us. Many people seem to forget that earlier in the season before the 'tripping over the dog' he wasnt fully fit as a result of little or no preseason.

7, good performance. Seemed to get slightly frustrated in the first half when making runs and no one seemed to make runs for him.

Was really impressed, but it really annoyed me when he took a swing for their left back, just needless and could have really cost us!
Hopefully he'll get a run out for the Reserves on Wednesday and be nearer to full fitness for Villa next week!

6 from me. A 7/10 performance taking into account his lack of match fitness but yet again got himself booked for gobbing off at the ref and could/should have walked for raising his hands to Hreidarsson's face.
That said, worked hard, had some nice touches and tracked back to help out his fullback - and we all know how much Tone likes that!
Promising - especially once we get Matty back on the other side (licks lips in anticipation!)

5/10
Not for his general play though which i would give him a 7, its 5 because after all we have gone through in the last few weeks with red cards that hand to the face of their left back was bloody stupid and unprofessional.
Could easily been sent off even though it would have been soft, I agree with gleghorn on the radio that pulis should have taken him off immediately after that to show the players once and for all we cant continue to do that

Can see why Pulis has been saving him, as he looked nackered after half an hour. But was creative and looked up for a fight for his place as he sought to prove a point.

Liam took a look up every time he got the ball to see if anything was on ahead of him. Sadly with no pace up front and no breaking midfielder there really was very little to pass it to. However I 'd give him 7/10 for his work rate and ambition to make something happen, and 1/ 10 for his petulance. We must all know by now that most referees are looking for any and every excuse to punish our players, so we have to be whiter than white.

I was impressed by how well he held the ball whilst looking for the creative pass or run (compared to at the start of the season).
It was encouraging to see him have a long range shot (not seen too many of them at the Brit recently). Even if they don't go in, it gives the keepers something else to worry about...

5 - Dead ball delivery. Not good enough today for this league. 8 - for general play. 2 - for attitude. Should have been sent off and that would have finished his season.. The second biggest liabilty after Fuller and he must be told not to let us down if he plays again.

Think Lawrence was impressive today! He was everywhere and not afraid of taking players on. He won numerous free kicks for us in good positions and really was one of our star performers . Hope he will continue on the right when Rory returns as well.

Got in a stupid scuffle with Hreidarsson (Any of our sending off incidents were only as bad as what Hreidarsson did to Lawrence) and his diving was embarassing. He's got it down to an art - knock the ball past his man and do the same falling over on the wrong side of the referee. I don't want to see ANY Stoke City player diving and I'm not afraid to point it out, just because other teams and certian players have no dignity or self respect, it doesn't mean we shouldn't play t he game in the spirit it was intended - hard but fair tackling, aggressive play and no diving. Other than that, he looked pretty good. The only Stoke player comfortable on the ball and not looking to get rid of it within 5 seconds of receiving it. I thought he was a breath of fresh air, but the cheating and scuffling was a real black mark. 7/10 for me.
