scfcrob has contacted me and asked to include the following: - "Longthrow does the Longride" ![](http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m104/scfcrob/LongthrowdoestheLongridefinal.png) scfcrob from Stoketshirts.co.uk has offered his services to help Rory Delap and Donna Louise Children's Hospice to try and drum up some much needed funds for the great work they do. As you may already be aware, Rory and a team of 8 others are doing a bike ride from Newcastle (upon Tyne) to Edinburgh on the 17th.,18th. and 19th. of June. It is to be covered widely in the media, both locally and nationally, and has already sparked wide interest. The Sentinel's Dave Knapper is doing the ride whilst also reporting on it, while Sky Sports have indicated that they will continue to report on it after their attendance at the press conference on Thursday 28/5. Rob's aim is to get Rory and his teams cycling kit sponsored. He is looking for donations of a minimum of £200.00 to secure two areas on the cycling top. There are various areas of 130mm x 130mm space available, front and back, both sides and his very famous arms for which a slighty higher donation would be expected. He also has an opportunity available to sponsor the team’s shorts – a sole “shorts sponsor” would be expected to donate a sum in the region of £500 to secure this. All moneys donated will be direct to the Donna Louise Trust, with no deductions whatsoever - Every penny raised will go directly to their charity. Please contact Rob directly if you or your business are interested in supporting this great cause. You can contact him via email on longride@stoketshirts.co.uk or send a pm to scfcrob via this messageboard. If you aren't able to sponsor Rory and his team, how about organising your own sponsored bike ride to raise funds for the Donna Louise Children's Hospice? You could get an exercise bike in your place of work, gym, school, etc and be sponsored as a team to cycle the equivalent 170 miles of the coast and castles cycle route. Rob is also looking to organise a post event celebration where all sponsors, supporters would be invited. This is in it’s very early stages and is not 100% definite yet, but if it does take place then you or your company would get an invite. If you are interested in being at the end of the route on Friday 19th. June at Edinburgh castle then please pm Rob. If there is enough interest then he may organise a coach. Thanks for taking an interest in this very worthy cause

I’m sure when Tone did the marathon none of the players sponsored him (not on the website anyway) and I’ve just noticed Higgy and Dicko have sponsored Rory!!

I was the proud winner of Sorensen's Gloves worn at Arsenal (see pictures!!) but looking at the state of them they may well have seen a few more games too, looking back at the matches I have kept on Sky+, it looks like they were worn at Hull too!! I also won a signed TP Jersey - I tried it on and I felt like the Hulk, it is only a large and our Tone isn't the biggest ;D ![](http://photos-g.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs081.snc1/4757_90396640965_708045965_2332870_2634418_n.jpg) ![](http://photos-h.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs081.snc1/4757_90396650965_708045965_2332871_5287088_n.jpg) ![](http://photos-a.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs101.snc1/4757_90396660965_708045965_2332872_8383548_n.jpg) ![](http://photos-b.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs081.snc1/4757_90396670965_708045965_2332873_2587920_n.jpg) Thanks to Lee for putting them up on ebay for Mart and thanks for Mart for all your troubles - I'm well chuffed with these!!

What time will Rory be arriving in Edinburgh on Friday?
I, along with 3 other Stokies, will be travelling up to Edinburgh on Friday afternoon for an exiled Stokie's stag do.
We don't get there until around 7 pm but, if Rory's still in Edinburgh, it would be great to go and give Rory some dosh in person on Friday night for his achievement.
I hope that this can be done.

I will try and find out for you.
I know the ride ends at Edinburgh Castle and they are aiming for a "no later than 5pm finish" but it depends on the weather, roads, etc.
If I find out I will send you a pm
