Higgy's distribution is fine when Mama plays - he doesn't really have to think what he's doing and it is an instant whoosh up to the centre circle. Higgy's problem is when there is no obvious 'get out ball' and he has to be a little bit creative.

I agree with the Wilko/Pugh selection that a lot of people have made. It's strange because three months ago neither of the two looked anywhere near to getting a place in the starting eleven.

Higgy is still our best left back even though I would rather him in the centre. I think Wilko and Higgy.

The Higgy distribution problem is a myth, you need to look at what options he has available when gets the ball before deciding that he just lumps it forward all of the time.

Can rarely fault either higgy or wilko defensively, but both are very limited going forward, wilko especially. Higgy has his diagonal launches, but has managed to get forward and put some decent crossed in (including the peach for mama against the baggies).
Griff had an excellent start to the season, the peak of which was his performance against Arsenal. Now i'm less confident of his defending, he seems to have lost just that little bit of fitness and is starting to tread into liability teritory. He doesn't particularly add much attacking, his crosses aren't the best, but at least he can play simple passes and so keep possession.
Pugh has been a very pleasant surprise every time he's played this season, not sure that i would like him to be a regular fixture at LB though.
Kelly - jury is out.

I only saw him on Match Of The Day but I didn't think Kelly looked very good against Sunderland. If anyone went to the game please tell me what you thought of him.I'd say our best two fullbacks are Wilko and Higgy.
