3 games, 2 goals, 1 assist.
His movement to throw his marker and get his header away was top drawer.

He is quality, his experience to the lads to run down the play, his goal, his work rate he is a top notch signing and 2 in 3 games already LOVE HIM

Superb header, considering he was leaning back and stretching to make the header, yet still managed to get a very firm head on the ball and plant it in the best possible place. Great play!

Always knew he'd fit in with our style of play like a hand in a glove, he's big strong and physical and knows where the net is .... Charlie Nicolas on sky before the game said he wasn't great in the air ;D

Excellent, old fashioned centre forward, with as you say good movement and an eye for goal. Wasn't it great to also see a pacey winger in Etherington taking his man on down the flanks! It was a bit like the old days today? Abdy and Shawcross were tremendous, and I also thought Pugh and Amdy Faye had good games too.

Are you watching Kitson more like, a lesson in determination, application and finishing A bit harsh, both Beatties goals have come from Etherington passes/crosses, perhaps Kitson, witht he same service, would get some joy ? whenever Kitson has played he's had no service.

I told you all we should sign him. Mama with goals, I said. ;D What the hell was Wayne Bridge doing? 12 million for that absolute travesty is an absolute disgrace. If i had to spend my 12 million on Wayne Bridge or 12 million alarm clocks from Poundland (Tm) i would gladly buy the alarm clocks. Where i live i come into contact with a lot of blades fans. To sum it up, they are livid

A proper centre forward. Correct, he can do the link up role and unsettle his markers but is a proper forward who knows where the onion bag is. Great stuff from Jimbo today, lead the line superbly and took his goal with some aplomb.

If only we'd bought Beattie instead of Kitson at the start of the season (sorry Dave, but the point is Beattie can play the game our way), how much could that have changed things? My guess is we'd be at least 6 points better off.

Just seen the goal on the Midlands Today bulletin. As Beattie wheels away and runs up to the John Smiths' you can read his lips easily as he declares "that's what I'm talking about! That's what I'm talking about!"
The man could be a legend.
