Smudge posted on here last week that we were after a lower league forward as Barnsley seem confident they are getting Boulding then I wonder who it is. I have given it some thought and have come up with this.I think Pulis would want a player in the Noel Williams mould,someone who holds it up well and links up play.None of our other forwards really do that,or that is not their strengths.I think he thinks we have enough pace and power but no direct replacement for Gifton should he get injured.If it was Trundle then after his heriocs in the cup I doubt he is now in our price range. Anybody have any ideas or comments on this?.I am just missing any transfer gossip as it has gone very quiet since the message boards became fragmented.Its just not the same.

Luke Rodgers? Remember all that stuff last year? Hes still at thingy after they got relegated ladt year. He might come. If Trundle-Liked the guy when i saw him play for wrexham a couple of years ago. Could see him in a bit of a Greenacre situatin if he joined us though. As well as Swansea not likely to want to sell him.

I personally dont think he would be after a forward, we have five already, and if Lumo goes and we let Greenacre go that still leaves us with 3 quality forwards. He would be better off going for a midfielder to play alongside Eustace, Eustace is the worker, so we need someone with a bit of flair to tuck in next to him. regarding the two boards, I think it might be a better option to just redirect the one on rivals over to here. Smudge did say that Rivals management had a meeting, but nothing has reflected that meeting in the way that rivals is behaving at the moment  Rex |

I heard from a very good source yesterday a player we were interested in from Div 2 and its not anyone you have mentioned.
Has been going on a while and of yet nothing happened so perhaps gone cool for the while.

As far as I can gather it was a deal that looks like it might be a a no go.
I hate doing this but I swore to secrecy for the time being and until told otherwise ...
Not trying to do one of those......I know something posts but perhaps tomorrow I could see how authentic it is.
The only reason I mentioned it was that I personally might have thought it was Boulding. We have been linked with Trundle also.
Will try to get some info in the morning.

not worth responding to mate. We've all been down this road before and some people just cant accept the fact that some people do have inside info from the club but dont appreciate the last minutes hitches that can turn up after months of negotiations.
I do believe this was also a thread on its own right on the Oatcake board that he misses so much
but then all I do is spout shite, so dont worry about it
