Who do you think should take it? Higgy,Kits or Beattie? I dont think Higgy's mist one has he? but a goal, even from a pen. would boost Kits or Beatties confidence.

Kitson. The lad needs a goal to boost his confidence. What no better time than a last minute penalty vs Chelsea.

beattie would take it for me, unless the 10k a goal bonus is true and stands for penaltys aswell.

I think Higgy would probably take it seeing as he has been at the club longer but I would be confident with either of them stepping up.

No way Kitson! Penalty kicks are by means gimmies and with his lack of confidence at the moment a spot kick miss would finish him.

As long as
a) it gets scored
and...
b) there's no kick off like Higgy and Hoefkens' handbags the other season
Then it dunna matter to me :-)

It would have to be Beattie surely. Fuller always worries me which is why Higgy is a decent option but Beattie takes a mean penalty and very rarely misses.

Is it within the rules of the game to award penalties to visiting teams at Man Utd Liverpool Chelsea ?

Yeah right. As if we would get a penalty at Chelsea.

Higgy, if such a miracle happens. No room for sentiment on this one.

With this team we'd look good for a good cup run next season!
9 men back in normal time, then: Beattie, Higgy, Whelan, Fuller and Kitson as 5 first choice takers?
Might not do our popularity much good.

Where's this 10k goal bonus come from? Higgy for me, then if he misses then Beattie. I've a feeling that Beattie will take them now but it's certainly going to be interesting once Fuller gets back in the side, usually if he wins one then he takes it but will Pulis let them sort it out or now step in and designate Beattie as the penalty taker? I'd prefer Kitson to score from open play, if he has a peno and misses it'll be a nightmare! Especially with some on here

Higgy. But I would love a Stoke player to score on his debut.

The higher probability is that a penalty will be awarded AGAINST us, not to us. But we do have a few reliable candidates now.

Lawrence
No question if he is on the pitch. Never missed for us.
Remember Barnsley and Burnley? Without those couple of points a draw would not have been good enough on the last day.
He can take them under pressure.
I don't see how you could forget him when naming 5 first choice penalty takers. What is everyones obsession with Whelen and set peices? Yes he can take a good curling free kick but thats it.

Lawrence hasnt missed? Yes he has, Vs Burnley last season, in the 88th minute when he hit the post. Just lucky Coyne got his head to it from the re-bound earning us a scarcely deserved point.

Hopefully not Kitson, not because I think he'll miss, will just seem an anti-climax for him, his first goal shouldn't be a penalty, I'll go Higgy, but there'd definatley be some squabbling

No way should it be Kitson unless it is for his hat trick....It would be the end for him if he missed, he'd probably self implode right on the spot where he stood. ;D

I don't care as long as we score, but I have to say that the penalties taken by Fuller have been a bit dodgy.
