Playing the way we are. No way would we be anywhere near the top 6 playing as we do even if we were a Division lower. The World look on and laughs.

Apart from the obvious class and Premiership pedigree of Sorensen and Abdy Faye, Pulis has purchased the most expensive mid-table championship team in the history of football.
I just hope that Lawrence and Fuller stay if/when we go down, because the rest of them are pretty fucking rubbish aren't they?

Is it Pulis's fault that Tongue and Soares etc havent stepped up to the plate when required?
People on here all always fighting there corner saying they should start the next game etc, but everytime they do they do nothing to convince Tone to start them!!

I'm disappointed in Tonge especially - I was one calling for him to start a game and it seems he didn't fancy his chance today?
Just goes to show how disproportionate tranfer fees are when you're in the Premiership.
I wonder how a side with Bjarni, Gunlasson and Gunarsson would have faired against Hartlepool today?

------------------------Sorrensen------------------------
Griff------Shawcross-------------AbFaye---------Higgy
Lawrence-----AmFaye----------Whelen--------Delap

Weve signed two decent players in my opinion, Sorrenson and AbFaye although the jurys still out on Kitson (Waiting for him to get some decent service), So thats about 15 million pissed up the wall on mediocre players who havent really improved our first team.

So why the f*** did he spunk £4 million of our money on them in the first place?
They are HIS players, panic buys and not good enough I'll grant you, but HIS players nonetheless.

The signings are poor enough but the tactics employed are totally shite, the whole system relies on one type of player, whether that player is not playing or marked out of the game theres no plan B therefore any players involved in that system are made to look useless.

this squad is infinitely better than the one that got promoted, and the team is too. Are you saying that Sorensen, AB Faye, Higgi haven't improved us? Diao and griffin have re-emerged as useful players at this level and would be key players in the champs. It's always a gamble as to whether a player will make the step up and so far tonge, soares, sonko and oli look incapable of that step and for that pulis must take responsibilty but they were all proven at good championship clubs. A more pertinent question might be regarding the kind of rebuilding job we have to do if we do survive, because we will be surviving in spite of the money spent and not because of it.

Er, ask fans of Palace and WOlves about if they felt both Soares and Olifanjana were that. I know Season ticket holders for both, and all are now forming part of a conga line in praise of TP.
Wolves fans couldn't stand the lad and Palace fans thought Soarees had a smidegon of potential, but couldn't even hold down a spot in their crappy team.
Tonge? look in the dictionary under 'journeyman'. We've been royally screwed over players - just what does it take to make folk acknowledge that?

We've had '28 Days Later' and '28 Weeks Later', maybe '28 Million Later' could be the scariest of the trilogy, if Ledley's prospective £6m pricetag is accuarate? A disturbing portrayal of a post-apocalyptic Championship-standard wasteland?

We're only missing Jon Parkin from the squad that got us promoted last year. Unless you want to include Nash, Buxton and Lil Ant. This thread is a bit of a nonsense on that basis alone.

Tonge? look in the dictionary under 'journeyman'. We've been royally screwed over players - just what does it take to make folk acknowledge that? tbf Pulis has stated that Soares and Davies were ones for the future and from the limited amount of football I've seen of them at stoke, both look like they could be decent players. I wouldn't necesarily describe Tonge as a journeyman, he was a mainstay of the sheff utd side. Howver I agree that he was a ridiculous signing that wreaks as much now as it did at the time of panic, and is totally unsuited to the pulis way i.e he would like to play football. I know wolves fans who rated Olifinjana too. And lets be fair football supporters aren't always the most magnanimous when losing players to their rivals. Pulis' signings haven't worked it would be bordering on lunacy to suggest they have. He didn't get the first choice players so what should he have done, signed nobody or signed players that were better than what we had got?

what we got was this:
He signed players that were aeither
a) not good enough b) not as good as what we had c) he isn't prepared to play d) who cost shitloads
owt else is conjecture

I think part of the issue is that all of these players (oli/tonge/soares/davies/kitson even) would fit better into a squad of players who were established and playing well. At the moment Pulis is attempting to integrate a lot of new/slightly risky players into a side that is a bit on its arse at the moment.
I'm not entirely convinced by my own point but I'm going to make it all the same because I can't contemplate just thinking about Pulis having flushed 28m down the shitter and still having to play that waste of jism Pericard in competitive matches.

Clearly he has wasted a lot of money but things simply are not as bad as the tone on here would suggest.

All would be better players at other clubs... doesn't matter how much we spend our tactics will ruin any quality they had.
I mean lets be honest how fucking hard is it to pass a ball to your own man on the floor? I see kids doing it on a Sunday down the local school. We seem to be scared of getting the ball dirty, Mamma must have a banging head ache by 5pm, i certainly know my neck aches.
Not only is it embarrassing and tedious to watch it's now also pretty much ineffective. We'll be relying on Delps throw or Fuller to create something out of nothing soon... oh wait....
