Presumably some players won't become available until their clubs have lined up replacements for them?

we need some big signings
if we can't get a couple of proven players in we will be slaughtered in the second half of the season, a losers mentality has set in quick
i have no confidence in tp to get in the right players i'm afraid, he did terribly last summer, he really has wasted a lot of money, and the likes of camera and ledley will not save us
very worried now, things are not looking good at all, liverpool, chelsea and tottenham next!

noble ? maybe wortha gamble etherington - hmmmmm? illunga - like to see him at stoke replacing griff
others like green, upson etc wouldnt come to us

I'd certainly take Kevin Phillips for a start....Cheap, skillfull and scores goals.
I'd also would have gone for Zigic....but that may be out of the question now.

Who'd want to join us at present? Derby signed a fuckload of players in January last year. Brimingham were looking wobbly in 02/03 and brought in players who kept them up, as did West Brom in '04/05, bottom at Christmas and ended up surviving thanks to their Jan wheeler-dealing. It can be done.

Pulis said in his interview on Radio Stoke : "We are very close to a couple ..." Unfortunately Nigel Johnson is renowned for being very short sighted, and didn't give us any more info.

If I was a betting man,.. I'd put Harewood down as favourite at this present moment.

I don't see how it is going to be any different than last time. We are still favorites to go down in most peoples eyes and that plus all the negative press and the competition from beter placed clubs is going to make Tony's job impossibel.
I will be amazed if we manage to bring quality to the club, harewood would be fantastic, but I just can't see it. he will go to Wigan or Middlesborough or Hull.

Needed them in before today so that they have the maximum opportunity to get used to their colleagues. TP mentioned two are imminent - just hope they will both walk into the team and make a positive contribution every game between now and the end of the season.
Experienced Prem players are the order of the day. We can't afford any more gambles on Championship players, overseas players or injured players. The role models for future signings should be Tommy and Abdy - plenty of Prem matches behind them and with something still to offer.

The thought of Tony Pulis spending another £8million on top of the £34million spent in the last season and a half should fill Stoke City fans full of terror.
Bradford City, Leeds, Leicester anyone?

Bradford City, Leeds, Leicester anyone? yup. that's why i think coates will keep his pockets shallow this time round. he must be a bit worried.

Sell to buy i think and thats a worrying thing as we have no one to sell worth any ££. If we stay up it's worth $40 million so come on TP and Coates, spend now and save us from the drop.

Don't worry about the money Winge. PC is quite prepared to spend what we need. This is his one chance at the Prem and he gives every impression of not wasting it.

Pugsley, I think TP is determined to make a go of the Prem. If he keeps us up, his reputation goes through the roof and there could be further Prem jobs for him after he leaves us. If we are relegated, he won't manage in the Prem again, in spite of all that he has learned this year. His role model is Redknapp.
