He went rather mad with the bookings against Villa. Campo should have been booked for falling over and constantly whinging and lookin' like a tool.
He turned into a bit of a "homer" in the second half.
Villa were rightly miffed.

It was great the way he had hold of Campo's mop in the first half, you have to be brave to go there!

I didn't think it was possible to get hold of Campo's "hair"...not without chemically removin' the grease anyway... *NorthernMonkey heaves at the thought of Campo's hair* *heave*

How could the decision possibly be right?
Angel was offside from the first shot, again from the second and actually diverted the ball into the net while offside for a third time from Vassells shot - If he wasn't interfering standing 4 yards out in the middle of the goal then I'm sadly confused about the laws of the game.
Even a Sunday morning linesman would have given it!

Is that because he asked his linesman?
I wasn't particularly blaming Durks (a good ref in my book, if a little short and pigmy like), but the liner got it terribly wrong.

In matter sof offside the referee HAS to trust to his linesman's decision unless, as happened last week, the referee sees something which the assistant may have missed - such as a defender actually playing the ball and not a forward.
In last night's case it was the linesman who was horribly wrong and Durkin can't take any of the blame for that!

I personally didnt see the incident but i think Durkin is one of the best refs in the country compared to most of the idiots!

Robo was right, with his description of the second goal, it was a terrible decision by the assistant referee, and no doubt he will be severely bollocked for it, Even a sunday morning club person would of got it right !! Rex

It's not as though it was a close call with Angel running forward and defenders pushing out. Added to that is the fact that there were actually 3 or 4 offside incidents within 20 seconds, anyone of which the linesman should have spotted.
Absolute joke of an official and no blame at all on Paul Durkin.

The ref made the right decision in doing what the linesman says like he's supposed to but hte linesman really did fuck that up badly. If Villa get the three goals back in the replay then i can imagine the Bolton fans being really pissed off with the liner and rightly so.
I can't work out how he didn't notice it.
Though the comment about sunday league football was dodgy, they give offside only when it shouldn't be, i've been offside with a ball played backwards and about 3 years ago i think when i was in my own half.

I was just pointing out how bad that decision was, and Sunday morning linesman fit that category a treat ;D

Sunday morning liners in the leagues I was involved with were usually from the subs bench of the OPPOSITION. Or even the oppo manager.
It was nigh on impossible to stay onside ;D
