23,
I think you are missing the point ID is trying to make.
I agree that for a full corporate package the price being offered is one that most people looking for that sort of thing would be happy to pay.
However, KE originally set this up to allow supporters working to a budget an option instead of a long coach trip, keeping in mind many folk will be having to get up in the morning for work.
Mr Scholes has chosen not to provide a range of prices/packages that would benefit a cross section of supporters but has chosen to only cater for those with deeper pockets.
If you have a look at clubs that regularly provide supporter charters, you will find they provide a range of options price and package wise so all supporters have an opportunity to follow the club.
The price KE was looking at would have been around £140 for the budget option. I understand.
It is of course up to you if you believe the club should have made an attempt to cater for a wider cross section of supporters or not.

Yeah 'cause they had loads of time after last sunday didn't they. P.S No other club organises there own travel arrangements they have outside agents Sorry to disappoint you, Sanford but they did indeed have the time. If you have followed the story properly you would already be aware that the arrangements were made and handed over to the club on a plate. The club had booked a fifty seater for the players, staff and a hand full of corporates until KE stepped in and gave them the booking options for different sizes planes from 100+ up to the 250 option they have taken up. This was one bloke organising things in a couple of hours. Stoke have a team of people in the commercial department. It is easier than you think.

Mark am kind of baffled with your problem with this
Seems a decent deal and a good few have taken up on the offer it seems- know Norwich have done similar in the past at 250 odd a head-

To be fair Mark, alot of clubs that do it are in the premier league, and do it every week IE chelsea liverpool man utd etc
Not championship clubs, the club have tryed make it a day to remember for fans, and you might not get chance of doing it again.

Mark am kind of baffled with your problem with this Seems a decent deal and a good few have taken up on the offer it seems- know Norwich have done similar in the past at 250 odd a head- Soi, I haven't got a problem with it other than a minor beef that it has completely frozen out the people it was originally set up to cater for. Like yourself and as I clearly say above, the price for what is on offer is fair enough. As I also said above, it is up to you whether you consider it poor that Mr Scholes has chosen to do it this way or not. I think it would have been better to offer a range of packages to give everyone a chance but I'm not going to lose any sleep over it. At the end of the day at least they have done something even though they have had to be led to it by an outside individual and it is better for the supporters they were going to originally completely ignore. sanford, I have given you the facts of the matter and they have been all over this message board for the best part of a week. It is up to you if you choose to bash on and ignore the evidence of your own eyes and the word of a lot more people than just me. It isn't a crime to let yourself think things could have ben done differently and the club cannot shoot you for saying so. You pay their wages remember.

That is a real shame that the game came around so quick but not the club's fault
Would be nice if in the Prem and did it for the odd game and good advance warning
Can't believe folk moaning bacause can do cheaper etc- good on them and have fun-think the club put together a great package
When Ben Hallam was at Stoke he put together a great day out for a game at Peterborough as he was great friends with Barry Fry- sadly the game was called off
Those going have a great time on this trip= those making their own arrangements same too but let it go FFS

All idea's come from people on the outside mostly. ;D I fear you may be right and that is another discussion! Fuck me that is the last time I try and clear up a point ID has made. I actually don't give much of a flyer about it and I too hope that all making the flight enjoy a good day. There are a few learning points for when we want to fly down to the Emirites for the next round. It should be more inclusive in terms of packages and the club should get off its arse and get it sorted as soon as we knock the Geordies out. I'm not having this not enough time bollox again.

Don't worry MW ID will take you on his sidecar- lunch at the Little chef (Kids menu only), ticket for the game, 2 bottles of pop- all inclusive 50 notes you'll be like Arthur and Olive from 'On the Buses' Sure if we do knock out Castle they'll be something arranged

Fuck Gdansk.
The roll neck to which you refer was actually purchased in the fashion capital of Bai Mare in Transylvania (I kid you not).
I was practically mobbed by car park attendants when I modeled it in Bucharest (not to mention Rochdale).

I read that now jeans in Bai Mare are all the rage along with Eddie Shoestring type moustaches

As I posted on the other thread......
Really can't see what the problem is?! ???
It's a special package put together for a one off big game which allows those who can afford/those who want to treat themselves to travel to the game in luxury with plenty of added extras on top. Plus it offers the opportunity to meet and travel with the players and management, which is a totally exclusive opportunity only available with this package.
Those who can't afford can always travel on the official coaches for only £20, or make their own way up. It's hardly like it's blatant profiteering from the club at the expense of the ordinary fans!
