obviously looking back the arsenal was the better of the two games but i'd prefer to go to stoke v hull rather than stoke v arsenal

There always appears to be an empty group of seats in the JS Upper (towards the Boothen), usually about 20/30. I am guessing that they are for either the meal/seat package at the Holiday inn, or neutral seats sold with a hotel by is it Thomas Cook?
Whatever they are, they should be made available if unsold by say Friday lunch, especially on days like yesterday when the game is sold out? I was at the ticket office on Saturday morning collecting my Derby tickets and saw them turn away one lad wanting two tickets for Hull and another Girl buying tickets for Tuesday who said she did not ask as the sold out signs were up.

i assume that some ST holders pay for their ST's with benefits! you assumed wrongly, on my part i work bloody hard to pay for mine and my daughters ST! Snow, hail and gales wouldn't keep us away! We both are ill with this cold and stomach virus, but we have tickets for Derby.....hope the patronising few out there don't catch it

They are paying 'fans', so as long as they pay their money, it is not going to alter the atmosphere if these 100 or so turn up or not. The club have the money banked. Job done.

"its not going to alter the atmosphere"
No, but it's going to stop some Stokie from seeing their team play on 1 of the rare saturdays they have off.

"its not going to alter the atmosphere" No, but it's going to stop some Stokie from seeing their team play on 1 of the rare saturdays they have off. Arguably so, but people were selling tickets on here, for the Hull match, and were called every name under the sun, because they attended the Arsenal match, but couldn't make the Hull match. You can't win!

Perhaps the club could set up a freephone number for ST holders who can't make a game for whatever reason to call in before the game (say up to 3 hours before) and state that their seat will be available. The club could then have a last minute window at the Ticket office for folks who want to chance what is available. Just an idea like.

One of the reasons for empty seats will be illness. If only one percent of people are ill, that still gives you the thick end of 300 absent.

I sit in block 9 of the JS upper(towards the boothen) and i think the group of empty seats you are refering to are the ones located behind a permanent TV camera which have not been allocated because of the restricted view
