I'm pretty sure the fact that the fixtures fell well for us too has been mentioned on here, and it's a valid argument in both cases. Now cover up that raw nerve that someone clearly touched.

Keep Gio whats his face quiet and get Ricci well fired up and I see 3 points. Need to be up for it from the off and I feel we will win this one.
Bloody hope so anyways.

Sutton, I think you need to go for a lie down.
You have deluded vision of grandeur, get ready to come crashing down to earth at The Britannia on Saturday, flower.
P.S. For the record, I did mention that our home win against Spurs fell at a time when they were going through a bad patch.

I respect what Stoke have done, and the reason you have your points is because you've earned them. Believe me, we've earned ours too.

Tiger, I did mention Baggies and Arsenal (do you not read posts and just assume you know what they say??)
Baggies are utter shite, hence them being rock bottom. As for Arsenal, I’m taking nothing away from your result, beating them at The Emirates was a fantastic result. All I’m saying is, it’s not a typical Arsenal team and teams like Hull, Stoke, Fulham and Sunderland (all of which can be labelled as bottom half/relegation candidates) have all taken points off them.

I haven't given you any "my team is better than yours" crap, merely stated my opinion that both Hull and Stoke have been fortunate at times in playing teams at the right time. Doesn't take anything away from either of them, or make the games any less enjoyable for all that, but it still holds water.
You're the one getting sand in your vagina about which team's better, and you're also certainly one for indulging in "my team's better than yours crap" - on another thread you try to argue that Hull's long balls are prettier than Stoke's! ;D

Looking at 'Ull's and our wins so far...
Arsenal. We both did well to beat them, but to be honest I don't think that their season of humiliation at the hands of "lesser mortals" is over, unless they realise that not every team is going to roll over for them like those lovely boys from Smethwick.
Tottenham. Hull rode their luck against Spurs, but having said that, we played a poor ten men for most of the match, and didn't look really convincing until the last ten or fifteen minutes.
Newcastle. You'd have to admit ST, you couldn't have picked a better week to play them!
Fulham. Could have gone either way if they'd made their early dominance count.
Villa was an excellent result. They were guilty of underestimating us a little.
West Brom, West Ham and Sunderland are all shite.
I'm not sure we can conclude anything from that!

You are correct tiger, the table is the only thing that matters.
The point you are missing (In a BIG way as it happens) is that it counts for nothing in November. You’ve had your spell sunshine, it’s over now and it’s a long way until May.

Stoke v Hull ....... this could be a big scalp for Stoke. I'venever heard so much garbage. Big scalp? Please tell me in the last 15 years when Hull City have finished above us in the league? How on earth can he say it's a big scalp? When we beat them we're a couple of points apart and those were only last minute lucky draws in their last two games. They havent won in the last 5 games yet we have won the last 4 on the trot at home. Lawro, you know nothing.

As much as I hope we beat Hull on Saturday, some of you lot on here are sounding as arrogant as the Manure/Brazil/Arsenal fans that are often castigated. We have no automatic right to beat Hull. We are two teams that were promoted last season, Hull have had a better start regardless of whether you think they have been lucky or not. You can only beat what is put infront of you ffs. Stop acting like a bunch of tools and just accept it will be a tough game on Saturday, because I for one don't expect Dull to lie down and let us steamroller them.

We've had some luck along the way, but I'm sure you have too. 'Tis true. Gerrards disallowed goal, while technically a correct decision, would have been given at Anfield by most officials. Apart from that though, we've not really had the rub of the green. None of our five wins have been in the least bit "spawny".

I have a lot of time for Hull. True some of their fans get on my tits a bit, but that doesn't take anything away from them. They have played well against the more fancied teams, off form or not, and the same can be said of us. Neither of us are bowing down to the 'big boys', and we are getting what we deserve. It's obvious, disregarding the critics of our style of play, that both mamagers are doing an excellent job with limited resources, and come Januaray, providing we can sign the players we need/want, we can carry on surprising our critics. Think what Lawro meant was that it WILL be a big scalp in the context theat both us and Hull are ecpected to be in the mix for relagtion at the end of the season. We don't think that, neither do Hull, both of us justifiably so at the moment. It will be a hard game on Saturday, and we all know it. I just hope that we come out of it winners. I'll no doubt get shot down for saying this, but I particularly like Windass. His attitude is always going to be needed in most games. What he lacks in class is more than compensated for by his enthusiasm and love for a scrap. The Baggies would love to have one like him, instead of all the 'cultured' nancys that they have.

2 points from 5 matches is more concerning to be honest, probably soon to turn into 2 points from 6. The only bad result in there was the Bolton game when their keeper played out of his skin. Believe me, nobody is panicking. I fancy us to win this one. I remember at your place last season, we outplayed you and should have won easily. You still play the same way, so why shouldn't we be optimistic? We know you better than other teams in this division

You're right. I think it was the back to back defeats to Man Utd and Chelsea that have wrecked our season Or, perhaps, only getting two points from Bolton, Man. City (home), Pompey (away)? To be honest, not so long ago, I thought it was madness to think that Stoke would finish above Hull. You had a 13 point lead on us. Now it's a mere five. In other words, form wise, Stoke are doing much better than Hull. If we win on Saturday, there's very little in it. Hull are doing brilliantly away. But, as you say, away wins are very hard to come by (although Bolton have managed three recently), so it's highly unlikely that you'll keep being able to rely on victories on your travels (it's not as though you are Chelsea nad so much better than the opposition). Although Stoke will slip up at some point at home and go on a bad run, it's much easier to maintain consistency at home, I'd say. If Hull are to stay up, I fear they are going to have to improve at the KC.

You can compare us to last season if you want but I don’t see the value in that. We’ve got a completely team, as you have, as most teams have for that point. We still have a similar style but we’ve shown it can be competitive at this level, especially at home.
You expect 3 points on Saturday – fair enough. I just wouldn’t hold your breath petal.

Either that or you were still under the influence of the festive sauce! I remember it as a fairly even game with both defences on top. Both sides had good spells, but neither created more than two or three shots on target.

No disrespect sutton, but he's right - it is only Hull City. It's a must 3 points and I think we'll deliver. Thats what Arsenal, Spurs, Newcastle, and West Brom said when we visited. No disrespect, but we fancy our chances too, we've won tougher games on paper this season. So have we mate, The arse, villa and spurs all came expecting a win, only to return with 0 points. Bar chelski, we have out performed everyone who has played us here.
