I don't usually drink before the match because I have to drive to/from Stoke but went in before the Arsenal game as the Mrs was driving. Decent pint of Pedigree. Should be there on Saturday as the Mrs is driving again

been using the gardeners&the plough regular since we moved up the brit.but it was getting harder and harder to find parking so have had to desert it this season for town centre parking and use of town centre pubs. p.s. the walk from the gardners to the britt is a mere stroll and thett still have a bus on!! re; pubs in stoke sadly many are on there last knees, vic is allready shut and i heard the other week that the kings arms on hill street is boarded up, now that was the place to be on a satdee in the 70s,80s&90s

As i've said elsewhere, my biggest problem is being a Billy No Chums from the West Midlands (where all my pals are, quite unreasonably i think, Wolves/Villa/Albion fans), it gets a bit fucking boring standing on your own in a boozer (aaaaaaahhhhhh) Similar issue with me living in Derbyshire but everyone is a Derby fan (again quite reasonably). I'm not too bothered standing on my own supping a Pedigree as I can listen in on the conversations going on around me but if anyone sees a balding bloke humming We'll be with you to himself it'll probably be me so say hello

Started going in there in 93, about six of us wolverhampton stokies, sat and still sit in the corner with donk and all that lot, many of the people who went then don't go in nowadays which is a shame because there were some top people, kev miller, deggy, london ted etc. Don't get up as much nowadays but when i do i'm in there. Northy. SCFC
