now, finally on our official site!
Sweeney Joins Leeds Posted on: Thu 10 Jan 2008 City midfielder Peter Sweeney has today completed a move to Coca-Cola League One side Leeds United.
Sweeney, who had recently been enjoying a loan spell with Walsall, will link up with his former Millwall boss Dennis Wise.
The one-time Scottish Under 21 international signed for Stoke from Millwall in the summer of 2005 and made a total of 41 appearances for the club, scoring two goals.
Confirming the deal, manager Tony Pulis said, "Yeah, Peter's completed the deal to Leeds.
"He's a smashing kid and we wish him all the best for the future."

STOKE should eventually all but wipe clear what winger Peter Sweeney cost them from Millwall two-and-a-half years ago after selling him to Leeds for what is likely to be a total of £170,000.
Stoke will pocket an initial £120,000, plus a further £50,000 if he wins promotion during the course of his two-and-a-half year contract at Elland Road, while there is also a 17.5 per cent sell-on clause on any future profit from his sale.
