bad time to conceed
Ronaldo = CUNT
he has consistently looked like he has been shot from the stands when challenged. Would be nice to see a good fifty fifty between him and shawcross

That's us done. To be honest I'd settle for this being the final score. What the fuck is Cresswell doing on the pitch? I say this every week, but I cannot believe any manager COULD spend £4million on wide men and not find someone better than Richard sodding Cresswell.

Couldnt have conceded at a worse time really. We hadnt done to bad really against the champs of England and Europe. We have to put things into context and realise who we up against. Lets just not get stuffed and then win our next 2 home games.

FFS, I really felt we could come out all guns blazing 2nd half and force them back for a couple of Rory specials. Can't see it now, Fuller's got the arse...

i would think about bringing Kitson on for Mama now. Also i would take Amdy Faye off and replace him with Whelan.

A few thoughts..
Apart from Sorensen's poor keeping from the free kick we have not really looked that bad. Our best efforts have come from down the left when Higgy has overlapped and run at the defence, they don't seem to be able to stop him when he does that therefore I'dlike to se that happen more often in the second half.
Rory's throws have been limited by the camber on the Old Trafford pitch, so I'd like to see mama move up into a more forward position and try the flick-on a la O'Callaghan in the 80's.
Also, I don't think our midfield have been that bad, they have won a lot of ball but the passing generally has let them down when the final decisive pass is required. We really need to work on that aspect.
All in all I am only disappointed in the keeping for the first goal and the fact that we let one in right at the death when there were four men around Carrick.

Lets get kitson on for a good 40-45 mins as he will play next week if fuller is out.

I thought we've had the better chances, and we are extremely unlucky to be 2 down, and at a push unlucky to be losing at all.
All the stick for the free kick is undeserved I thought, it was curving awkwardly.

This is what lets TP down, his persistence with Cresser when we've got two good footballers on the bench...

we give the ball away far too easily when in possession - we're defending well in general but there appears to be no game plan when losing - we're set ùp to defend and maybe get something from a set piece - now is the time to 'open up' and chase the game. If it was 1-0 we could carry on as in 1st half but at 2-0 we need to try to play a bit... Nothing to lose - time for a plan B

Possesion is 9/10 of the law and the clear edge they have over us (and most other teams) is their superior passing.

When we got our fantastic point up at Anfield, the ball didn't run for the scousers. We needed the same thing to happen for manure today, but it ain't worked out like that. The ball is running for them and they are a class (or two) above where we are.
We're giving a good account of ourselves, doing what we do - men behind the ball but getting a few half chances (which we ain't come near to converting). Van der Saar made one (good) save, from a rory throw and Sali and Ricci had good half chances (both fluffed)
We love Pulis when his tictacs work out and we hate it when we still end up getting beat after trying to soak up the pressure and nick a goal.
This could end up any old score ... they have some fantastic players and both goals are a bit of brilliance (that we might have done better on, but didn't).
No moaning from me ... We are doing just about all we can, but it looks like today won't be our day
ah

Watching the game on satellite tv - Prima tTelvize or summat. I missed their first goal a tap in i think, second goal Sorenson was maybe a bit unsighted, Stoke look damgerous when the ball is played high into the box and De Saar comes a- flapping. I think Sorenson got his fingers to both but the power beat him. I bet he is disappointed with himself. Despite the 2 goals there's not a lot in it. This season has shown teams can come back at Man u so all is not lost.
