Some of you are creaming yourselves as if we’re top of the premiershit, get real we’ve had a few mediocre results against mediocre teams in a very mediocre league! One thing you can count on though is Pulis will snatch failure from the jaws of success.

is it ok to think that 4th in the championship is quite good at the moment? considering the fact that we arent that big a team and a distinct possibility of gettin promotion now go support west brazil albion

And we are 4th in jan? So what,if in May well done Pulis and the boys.
But its a crap league and with the players we are touting and the budget we have and the players we have in the squad now to get fit then tell me this,if we don't get in the Play offs at worst then Pulis is truly a wank manager who will carry on being a manger that acheives nothing!
Im very excited that he might have learned some crucial mistakes but this is Pulis he never makes mistake remember so lets enjoy it and Hope,Pray it carrys on.

Will Pulis let yet another transfer window pass without spending some of the cash he has availible on the player we desperately need or will he spunk it away on more 6'6" defenders just to shatter Wilko and Dicko's confidence. The fact is he's achieved nothing at Stoke except cause division amongst fans and drive away 1000's with Pulisball

what do you class as a good league? premiership yes, but we are doing the best with what we've got and we are in january, so we can improve on what we've got i still dont understand what people say about us gettin near the play-offs despite pulis...

if we get into the playoffs this year it will be an improvement, and the highest we've been since Macari, and right now that not only looks possible but it looks likely. That is why there is a feeling of optimism around the place.

Well there are enough fingers in pies this window so far. Including Shawcross...oh and Griff if you like that idea. Attendancies have dropped yeah but ask yourself what that is down to. Prices maybe, people being stubborn because now they are having to eat their words over Pulis or maybe just flaming doom mongerers of the likes of this thread. Look it may not be pretty but we aren't ever likely to be any Barcelona are we. Get behind the team.

I don't think it will come as a surprise to anyone when I say I'm not a lover of Pulis, but you have got to be in it to win it whether it's a wank league or not and we are most definitely in it. Until such time as we are not I'm more than happy with what is going on at the club at the moment. I predicted we would finish twelfth at the start of the season but I'm looking at a top 6 finish at the very least, especially if the signings mentioned come to fruition. If TP blows it then I will grief him as much as anyone, but I'm more than happy to leave him be at the moment, he's doing a good job.

I'll agree with you on a couple of things myleftboot attendances are definately down and that's mainly because of your other point that I agree with , it's not pretty. And that's down to Pulisball.

myleftboot maybe the opportunity to get in a Mowbray type manager was when the fat idiot Boskamp went, Jewel was available before the season started and Colin was available in the summer too and look how he's turned Palarse around. Just a couple of names for examples.

spiderman, I know there's a worrying number of happy Stokies right now (including me!) and I know we've flattered to deceive at this stage of the season more than once - the difference this time is that it doesn't feel flakey, we're not in the position we are through luck and that's what people are positive about.
Also, long-term Pulis optimists (again including me) are being rewarded by seeing safety-first hoofball gradually turn into something more creative. OK not all the time, but objectively you've got to say we're starting to play a bit, we're bringing decent players in AND doing it on the secure base of a system that works. It's a long long time since we've had all those things happening at once, so a lot of people are justifiably feeling hopeful. Come on what's wrong with that?

What like Pulis has turned our club around...do you not remember him keeping us up in his first season in charge or are you merely selective in your arguements?! FFS, Alex Ferguson took an age to win something with Man Ure, not for one second do I think Pulis is in the Ferguson league of management but the guy some credit

That is true TE, but sometimes you can see why people get restless. Lest we forget TP is in his 5th season with us, and we have seen teams such as Norwich, Southampton, Sheff Wed, Wolves, West Brom, Sheff Utd, Leicester and Crystal Palace in the Prem. I don't want an argument, but you can see why some people are fed up. I just happen to think we have a chance this year.
