At the West Bum game people were leaving on 77 minutes, I thought they were off to the toilet until I noticed them shaking hands and saying goodbye to fellow Stokies. They were obviously season ticket holders too.
Now, this lead to me looking for this and it's unbelievable how many and how early people actually leave! (I obviously only look when the ball's out of play).
Is it all down to the traffic nightmare? I even noticed a traffic jam of cars leaving as I was sat watching the end of the Hull game!
If so, what if any ideas do you think could be quickly employed to stop it from happening?
I've thought about snipers on the grass hill and on top of Toyota but it could all get a bit messy. I'd go for better policing of traffic and people crossing by the Harvester personally!

I just can't understand why people hate waiting in traffic so much after a Stoke match. Maybe if you have to get to a night/evening shift I can understand but that isn't the excuse for the many early leavers I see every match. It's only traffic for god sake

I agree, it's also a competitve thing I think. They need to be first off. Maybe for those people we should start a who can stay longest in the ground after a game compo?
Moan about the price then miss 10% of the game??? WTF

Early on in the season I thought I had the answer: make people pay to get OUT rather than to get in, now I'm not so sure! ;D

I left at the end of the West Brom game, I had parked on the South car park, and it took us over an hour to get off. It used to be one way down the exit towards trentham, now 2 way, so this slows everything up. I wouldn't leave early but it is a pain.
Even on P & G, he said all those listening, honk your horn, I think everyone did !!
This needs to be sorted out tho !!! that is the traffic problem not P & G

I can't understand it either. I sit in Block 13 and walk down to the concourse entrance as soon as the board for added time goes up.
I run to my car as soon as the whistle goes and hardly ever wait to get off the car park. I was driving through Manchester when people were ringing Radio Stoke from the South Car Park on Sunday. ;D

I set off after watching the lads cooling down after the West Brom game. I eventually got home, did some Christmas shopping, walked the dog, unfortunately had to give the missus one a couple of times, went work and on my way back to watch the Hull game noticed a couple of blokes still on the South Carpark trying to get off! I explained to them they might as well turn around and park up for the game so they did and everyone was happy!

Onner, the blokes who were on the car park trying to get off what were they using ? but that leads me to think, don't they call that dogging if you were outside their car ?

What difference does it make if people leave early or not? its the choice of each person there to come and go when they please.
What you should really be worried about is men that drink wine, everyone knows that wine is for women, thats why its called whine.

its stupid how they hold up the stoke fans traffic to let the away coaches go, it should be the other way around, they should be kept back until we have gone, thats how it works when we go other grounds

This has long been a favourite gripe of mine . On Sundee I could barely believe it when people were leaving in the 85th minute when it was still 0-0 and we had Newcastle on the rack and it was exciting as exciting can be! You could perhaps understand it if we were 2 goals up in an average Championship game, but seeing that game through to the end was surely worth being stuck in the car park for! If nowt else, the team deserved everybody's applause at the end.

I left my seat dead on the whistle, walked to my car about a mile away and was home in Lightwood for 8-20
Can't see why these people that sit on the carpark moaning don't just do likewise(not come to my house)

Just do what I do, don't bother with the car and get in the harvest after the game for an hour or two. You don't notice the walk back to Chess after that.

I always move down the front of Seddons from my seat at the back and leave bang on the end. Usually this is OK. Since the new fly-over opened, getting out and onto the A50 has been a breeze. For the Newcastle game it was a complete disaster. The main problem though is folk who don't know how to drive properly, or park with some consideration. On Sunday the roads were littered with people waiting to pick up their partners from the match, who seem to think that sitting with their engines running means that they can block up the entire bloody road. The buses parked by Greens taking up an entire exit lane, and all of the blue-badge holders who think that they are entitled to just dump their motors wherever they like don't help. The final nail in the coffin on Sunday were the idiot Policemen allegedly controlling the traffic by Greens roundabout who could have got everyone off far quicker if they weren't sharing a single brain-cell. It's all wank I should go on that Grumpy old Men programme. ;D
