Well this was my third or fourth meet the manager with Sir Tony and yet again his steely determination, fantastic wit and dedication to Stoke shone through. He was asked about Arsey Wenger and basically reiterated what we've all already heard. We are bigger than that and don't have to rise to his rather inane excuses and we have to look forward. On next week TP is very excited he sees Wigan as MASSIVE as we have to start doing better away from home sooner rather than later. He sees the Rotherham game as VERY important and he is desperate to win that one. And then ManUre ....... He joked about Ricy Fuller and said you have to let Ric be Ric! Bloody frustrating but well worth getting frustrated over! On Saturday he said the ball was banged into the corner and Ricy was just wandering around whistling to himself thinking every day was xmas day, while everyone else was desperatly trying to eat up the last few seconds! ;D On Rory Delap and Higgy he said they are two peas in a pod and both have no malice in them what so ever. In fact they are two dopey buggers and hes convinced they must have the same dad! On the fans he said we are brilliant abd most managers he speaks to have mentioned the raw passion generated at Stoke and he feels the fans the players and management 'are as one' When asked about our one or two negative fans he said (with a smile on his face 'I ignore the bastards' or words to that effect He said we missed out on 5 targets that were A list targets but is working on more for January though he wouldn't be drawn on who. He made it very clear heloved George Best type characters who could turn a match themselves. Cracking manager. Cracking person. Cracking night. GGGGGGGGOOOOOOOOOOAAAAAAAAAAAAAARRRRRRRRRNNNSTOKE thank you very much sounds like a good night wish i lived in stoke for that night

An extremely important thing from last night is that Fuller is going to Jamaica in a couple of weeks. He won't return until the MORNING of the West Brom match Also, when he was quizzed about the doubters- "We just have to prove the bastards wrong" A thoroughly enjoyable evening. Kempy was there too (although he is like an echo to TP!)

He was so far up his arse, Dave, you wouldn't be able to see him. Come to think about it, I'm surprised anyone in the room was noticeable. My mam and dad were married. I think. M.

RAF- He was on about opposition fans and the media.
He went on to say the only people he cares about are the people he can influence- management, players, chairman (to a degree) and the people of the area (Stoke City supporters)

Meet The Manager Success Posted on: Thu 06 Nov 2008 Last night's 'Supporters Club Meet the Manager' evening has been deemed a huge success by supporters who attended the event. Over 200 fans packed into Delilah's Bar to put their questions forward to Nigel Johnson, who then held a question and answer session with Boss Tony Pulis and Assistant Manager Dave Kemp. As always, the pair answered all questions honestly, including a number regarding the Club's achievements so far this campaign and January transfer targets. Pulis also played down Arsene Wenger's recent outburst, saying he hopes to draw a line under the matter, while he revealed he could be without top scorer Ricardo Fuller for the West Bromwich Albion clash due to international commitments. "We lose Ric in two weeks. He is off again," he said. "He is going to Jamaica and we won't get him back until the Saturday morning of the West Brom game. "That is a vital game for us. Ric has absolutely terrorised West Brom over the last couple of years and we are going to be losing him. "He's off to Jamaica straight after the game before and we won't see him until the Saturday morning. That is massive blow to us as a football club." Oruc Tezgel, who was one of the supporters in attendance said he thoroughly enjoyed the occasion. "It was very good and it was brilliant to actually see him face to face and hear his thoughts on everything so far. "The Club have done absolutely fantastically well already and it was good for us to be able to show him our appreciation. "These events are great for the fans and I am already looking forward to the next one."
