I cant believe Pulis still thinks he's better than Wilko, Dicko or Zak!
Every time that either Barmby or Garcia ran at him he fell on his arse or got completely skinned! Shit player better off in Sunderland's reserves.

We need a new centre back and a new full back PRIORITY.

Good riddance, he's been aweful in most of his outings, today being another example.
Both Zak and Wilko are much better and cost less.

I won't be losing any sleep over the departure of Wright.

^ Cort and Shawcross do not, and I doubt ever will, compliment each other well. We need a CB in the mould of Higgy or Tags in order to orchestrate the defence. I think we could probably get away with the full back position providing Wilko says fit for the most part.
Wright was awful, to put it mildly.

Has he been recalled or just his loan finished? Source?? or is it just the case we think his loan has ended or have we deffo said hes off?

6 month loan, I believe.
Don't know what our next plan of action is, however.
I'd let him go - and if we feel an RB is necessary, turn our attention elsewhere.

In Pulis post match interview he said that Wright has been recalled by Roy(Keane)
Things are on the up

Keane taking Wright back is a bigger act of madness than his tackle on Alf Inge Haaland.
Good riddance. Wright has been a desperately poor loan.
If Keane didn't want him back, you get the impression TP would've kept him - so we should be grateful for small mercies!

Yep, TP confirmed that Wright is wanted back at Sunderland by Keane, happy days........

I think it may be a polite way of saying we don't want him, I can't imagine him being anywhere near their first team.

Have to agree, stephen wright has proven a costly waste of space at stoke, wilko should play right-back on sunday.

its more a case of his loan running out and keane not letting us re-new it rather than keane actually recalling him
On loan defender Stephen Wright will now return to parent club Sunderland as the deal that brought him to the Britannia Stadium expired after today's game.
The 27 year old played 83 minutes of today's draw before being substituted by fellow loannee Gabriel Zakuani.
Wright had returned to the line-up following several weeks out with a head injury suffered against Watford.
"Wrighty will go back to Sunderland," confirmed Tony Pulis.

"We can't do anything about it - Roy Keane's decided that he wants Stephen back at the club.
"It's a shame but you can understand Keane's decision.
"We just want to thank Stephen for his effort and commitment, he's a smashing lad and we'll miss him."
Wright also admitted he'd enjoyed his spell at the Britannia Stadium, saying, "It's been good, I've enjoyed my time here but Roy spoke to me and he said he wants me to go back.
"I think they've got Wigan next in the cup so I could be involved for that one."
Stephen played 17 times for the Potters since making his debut against Cardiff City on the opening day of the season.

Perhaps I'm reading too much into it but I get the impression we would have taken him on loan again but Keane wants to sell him but we don't want him that much??

"It's a shame but you can understand Keane's decision. "We just want to thank Stephen for his effort and commitment, he's a smashing lad and we'll miss him." Sorry - but why will we miss him. He is absolutely awful. I've no issue with Pulis getting rid of Hoefkens, but at least replace him with someone as good, or better in other areas. Wright makes Karl look like Gary Neville, and thats really saying something. Wilko looks a good prospect, and never lets us down. I'd prefer him to get the nod as first choice, and bring in some cover if needed.

Why ? He'd obviously been knitting Wright some ear warmers and its took him up until now to finish them and then he ups and fecks off.

It was sarcastic.
As for Pulis, he can't just say 'We signed Stephen and he turned out to be a bit shit so we won't try too hard to get him back', can he now?
