I always had doubts about Hoult being substituted for Simonsen, even if the latter did have a poor game, and the latest goal for them has confirmed that. I sympathised with the penalty, though surely he should have got something on the latest goal from Plymouth? I'm not at the game, so I obviously can't really tell where Hoult was in relation to the ball. Ah well.

We have Cresswell, just dont play him as a striker.
Hoult deserves a chance, Simmo has been awful lately, unfair to judge Hoult on one game guys.

Its clear we need to work on the defence. Aye, Stoke seemed fine for a brief period and could go forward and defend at the same time. Hoult doesn't seem to be helping our case though. |

At the end of the day we have the worst central defence in the division, when they are incapable of holding the ball up or controlling midfield, naturally the defense is put under pressure. Crewell and Lawrence are hardly defensive minded, all this adds to pressure for the back 4.
Games are won and lost with quality midfield, we don't have that yet. January is key for our season, Salif back and a new player to sit with him.
