They've been reading too many papers. Truth is, this team can mix it up and are not short of ability - ask Blackpool fans. Fuller had 'em scared silly all day and the only really bad challenges were the Barnsly players on the edge of the box. Even Shawcross' challenge, though stupid, was hardly dangerous.

I dont care who likes us or who doesnt.
But I do ask the question why dont they like us? Ive read that other supporters say we are physical, play dirty, kick players etc... yet if im correct, we and one other team (who I cant remember) are the only ones in this league not to have a player sent off !! Im i correct?

I don't think anyone ever has liked us. It's just that now we look like we might do something worthwhile, so folk are making a bit more noise about it. It used to be that folk hated us but had a grudging respect based on our hooligan element. No-one has respected us for our football or history for years, or possibly never at all.
The fact that folk are moaning is good. It means they are worried about us. It's time for us to be concerned when they aren't bothered.

I was pissed off about it but in the wake of yesterdays match reaction I'm now reveling in it. We played a team yesterday who had obvioulsy decided prior to the match that the only way they could combat Ric was by kicking seven shades of shit out of him everytime he looked likely to run with the ball - very sporting I must say. They ended up with ten men but to be honest if Mr Kettle had booked a couple early on (how Souza didn't get booked for chopping Ric down on the edge of the box I'll never know) the game may have been different as there centre halves would have been walking a tightrope. He didn't and they were allowed to kick him until a point in the game where a sending off was neither here nor there. Apparently though we are the horrible cheating, bastards. You couln't make it up and I'm starting to enjoy it.  Gooaarrrnnnn Stoke. |
