Footballing genius Tony Mowbray has revealed that he is to hold clear the air talks with top line officials at the Football Association prior to Saturdays stroll in the park 4-0 win for the Brazil of Smethwick against those big bullies from Stoke City.
Mowbray exclusively informed the Excuse and Star that he felt he had to take the extreme action in light of Albion's home draw against the Potters. "We felt they approached the game in a manner that brought football into disrepute and I understand from our scouting reports that they intend to tackle and head the ball on Saturday as well. Furthermore I fear that at some stage in the game one of our Galactico's could well get fouled and we would have to consider bringing police proceedings against them."
The Baggies's supremo's actions have been applauded by fans and players alike up and down the (Black) country, Albions' Jesus look-a-like Jonathan Greening, who is getting special dispensation to play over the festive program from God himself said, "At our place earlier in the season they scored first and everything and I just don't think it's right especially at this time of year. I also remember them being awarded a goal kick and after Ishmael Miller had sportingly spotted the ball for their keeper he had the bad manners to pick it up and move it, I thought it was a disgrace."
Local TV pundit Bob Wanker also feels that Stoke's tactics and their general look is not good for the game."To be honest we try and avoid mentioning them, it's a bit like the "Scottish play" thing at the theatre, we worry that by showing any of their goals we could end up putting a curse on the Albion and they end up going on some silly run like only winning once in 22 league games against them"
Here's hoping that all is well for the silky players of West Brom on Saturday, we send our best wishes to them and we pray to Jonathan Greening that they all return home safely from the dirty and uneviable task that awaits them in Stoke.
