Not quite there yet of course! First he has to overtake Macari but if he achieves promotion this term then he may well overtake Macari - certainly in the eyes of the younger fans I have never had any doubts about Pulis's talents as a manager. He has already this season taken a rag bag team and turned them into top six hopefuls I would now go further and say that with a bit of luck and three quality additions to the squad then I would make the likeleyhood of promotion very high. The football will continue to improve as we see the best of Pulis's man management at work Having achieved promotion then I would make Stoke favourites to stay up, of the three promoted clubs My doubt at this stage would be Pulis's knowledge of overseas markets. Given the cost of players in the UK then Stoke would have to look abroad. Our current squad will need more than a few additions! Pulis will never be a charismatic character but success for the club will soon gloss over any perceived personality faults Should we stay up then I can see Pulis going on to mirror the early years of Martin O'Neil in the Premiership - more difficult now maybe but who knows?

Oh dear Having said that, it'll be interesting to see how Pulis will be viewed IF we go up - and we're a million miles from even putting in a proper go at that yet. Rarely has a bloke's relationship with a fanbase been so odd.

I doubt he will rival the popularity of Waddo or Macari. In some peoples blinkered opinion he won't even rival Boskamp even if he got us to the prem into Europe and won the FA cup. I think he's doing a very good job at the moment but TBH there are always slight niggles in the back of my mind regarding him. I do hope he can get us promoted but whatever the scenario I'll be back supporting Stoke next season as usual. GPG Gouranga.

Well 4/1 say the bookies in terms of our promotion challenge - and we haven't had the reinforcements yet. I reckon the bookies are right
If the odds weren't so poor I would have had a bet at the start of the season - first time for years I haven't had a bet
