Has anybody else signed the Al Bangura petition on the Watford site? www.watfordfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/NewsDetail/0,,10400~1189357,00.html I know he has nothing to do with Stoke but as a football supporter this decision by the clowns at the Home Office is stupid. A total lack of common sense has been displayed in this matter, he pays his taxes (40% for that matter). The lad deserves to be given a chance.

Aren't the Watford fans forking out good money to somebody who shouldn't be here, including his 40% tax?

A lot worse poeple in our country than this young man in my opinion.
He probabley pays more in tax than most people get paid a year and has no criminal conviction to his name. In fact he's been a victim of crime.

He paid £120,000 in taxes last year alone.

So what if he paid £120k in taxes?
Watford should replace him with somebody who isn't here illegally and let the replacement pay £120k in taxes.
He shouldn't be here - full stop.

He isn't here illegally. He was given "conditional leave to stay" when he arrived 4 years ago. He has now been told he should return and he is appealing. Nothing illegal about it.

He is now safe to return to his country of origin. He should do so forth with and with out delay and take his kid and wife with him.

so,hes been told to go home by the Home Office Forny me old mate-he is here illegally

He has a legal right to have his appeal heard and he has been allowed to remain at liberty until that appeal is heard. So he is not here illegally.

i think you will find his FINAL appeal was turned down-but in multi britain you have more appeals-why why why do i pay tax

If he was here illegally he could be arrested. If a police officer tried to arrest him at the moment he would be guilty of wrongful arrest - so he is here legally.

NO HE ISNT-he has 14 days to remove himself or be removed

Even if he wasn't appealing he would be here legally until the 14 days were up. As things stand though, the Home Secretary has said he will not be removed whilst his latest appeal is considered.

if a body of people have sat down looked at all the evidence and decided he should go then so be it all this let him stay cos he pays taxes shit will set a bad precedent we just need to round up the rest of them now and be just as ruthless

seems to me like you can keep appealing until you get the decision you're after... it would be best for all concerned if they just had one appeal instead we have to pay ( as tax payers ) self appointed beaurocrats to keep on fudging a decision

Bangura is paying so much tax that he must be more than covering the costs of his appeals. The Home Secretary is an elected politician not a "self appointed" bureaucrat - and the Immigration staff who took the original decision are employed not self appointed.

Interesting Statistic:
7 out of 8 of vue's posts on this board are on the subject of immigration. That's 87.5% - an amazing percentage! ;D

Even though he did initially enter the country illegally, I cant say I have any particular qualms in him staying.
I'd rather him be here than some of the scroungers who are here, draining us for everything we've got and teaching god knows what about religious extremism, terrorism etc - AT least he's paying his way re taxes etc...

He lost his appeal on the 11th and is set to be deported.
He probably didn't help himself by lying about how he came to the UK and that his claim that he hasn't contacted his family since coming over here is crap?
Don't worry peeps, he'll get deported and be back over in 6 months time with a different name, age and another scary story involving mutilation, rape and any of the other way-out tales that many of our asylum seekers come up with.
