Pulis Haters were born long before the Pulis Rimmers arrived.
If anything, the Haters created the Rimmers. Someone had to defend Pulis in light of all the OTT abuse he was receiving.

Mr_Wheeze,
It's exactly the same the other way around. As soon as we lose people are on here saying that those who support our management team are not True Supporters.

What I don't understand is that if Pulis is half as ace as all you rimmers claim why is he still manager of Stoke at last count he has not been seriously considered for any of the following jobs
Leicester (twice) Norwich QPR Bolton Birmingham Wigan Derby Preston
A few too many jobs for it to be coincendence really - what can they see the rimmers can't ?

Well having posted and read on the old site (fairly) regularly i reckon it was the other way round. The anti's getting accused of not being stoke fans cos we didnt/dont like the manager. But i dont want get into an argument with so guess we'll just have to agree to disagree. Im an anti mesen. Im not keen on the bloke, i think he spouts a fair bit of shit and spin to be honest and i aint that keen on his style of play, team selection and tactics at times BUT bloody hell is he and the team doing a good job at present! Im eating some humble pie i'll admit at present but fucking hell it dont half taste nice cos Stoke City FC are doing fucking great and flying high!!! Goooarrnnn Stoke!!!!

followyoudown, How do you know he wasn't considered for those jobs? Were you in the boardroom at each of the mentioned clubs? You mean apart from the failure of any of those clubs local papers to link him with the job or mention he was under consideration ? I would also add on his previous record if he was being considered for any of those jobs he'd have been in the boardroom himself... Best add Burnley and Crystal Palace to the list too....

mcf, I don't know whether the target of your 'wankstain' jibe included me, but if so, I think you'll find that I couldn't give a toss who's the manager as long as he brings success.
My opinion is that I don't believe that Pulis is the manager who will deliver the success we all crave for. I could be wrong (which will be a first in itself!) and If he does, then great, I'll be 'over the moon', but not because of Pulis - despite him.
........which still leaves you as a thoroughly objectionable, nasty piece of work though!

It's up to the antis to keep up the pressure, make sure TP doesn't slip into bad habits, it's our pressure that has made him come out of his shell which has resulted in some good performances.

There aren't many rimmers that go around claiming that Pulis is ace.
We just thought he was a good manager that wouldn't bring about the destruction of SCFC like so many of the Pulis Despising Cuntrags claimed.

Was Aidy Boothroyd or Mick McCarthy considered for those jobs? Probably not, the point is that almost all of the clubs I listed have greater resources / support then stoke (which isn't the case with Watford and Wolves) and will be desperate to either stay up or get promoted yet they have all overlooked Pulis weird isn't it must be a football wide conspiracy.

I don't recall many antis claiming he would ruin the club or relegate us, in fact quite the opposite, most antis knew that was what he is good at, keeping teams out of trouble, the main reason people didn't want him back was due to his dire tactics, something which of late have been much improved and long may it continue, the trouble is we've been here before, only for Pulis to return to type and go all defensive again, lets hope thats not the case this time around.

So are Aidy Boothroyd & Mick McCarthy wank too then? Would many of those clubs listed be a step up for either manager (with the exception of Wigan or Bolton) so would they consider the job even if approached ? Alex Ferguson wasn't considered either wouldn't call him wank although he is a wanker definitely

Many have referred to TP as a cancer, and stated that the club is rotten to the core.
All a bit OTT really isn't it.

MCF, Some people state their views regardless of the fact thast events may unfurl to prove them wrong or right. It is what they believe to be true at the time Some genuine wankstains put a view forward, see that people do not agree with it and immediately delete their own post in an unseemly rush to cover up. Hendrie. Would welcome him back without hesitation. Central midfield. Do you know any wankstain who would do that? Do I need to illuminate this cowardice any further?

I think he's personally doing a damned good job of destroying the club so far. Not as obvious here (for the moment) but on Rivals it was blatantly obvious.
I'm a firm believer that a club is built on its supporters. If a club has no supporters it would fail to exist, after all, it is part of the entertainment industry and is there for that specific reason, as entertainment.
I hate the man simply because of the split that he has caused. I don't care about his character and I don't get to enough games these days to make a valid criticism about his style of play, but people are at each others throats purely because of Tony Pulis. And the bigger the split becomes (especially with this ridiculous notion of point-scoring, one-upmanship and frankly this absolutely bizzare opinion that anti's somehow want us to lose), the more damage is being done to the club.
He could win us the Champions' League but it would all be irrelevant if only half of our current average gate shows up, the club wouldn't be able to sustain itself.
As I kept saying on the old board, I'd prefer to have ANY other manager who'd achieve the same as TP at Stoke (which at the moment is absolutely bollocks-all), simply because it would have the potential to put an end to all this stupid sniping at each other like the pathetic first post in this thread, and give us an opportunity to get back to normal. After all, isn't our motto "Vis Unita Fortior"?
