We last had a pro/anti ID card thread!
I really do think their time is up now and there's no reason for them any more...
Anybody know off the top of their heads how many supporters have them?
Would we stand a chance of filling up the away end at St James' in the event of a replay? Or anywhere else decent if we beat Newcastle?
I believe they've served their purpose and the east the club could do is have serious negotiations with the Police and other clubs to try and have a few ID-free games as trials, just low-risk ones to begin with and see where it leads from there...
Maybe they could keep them but only for games like Cardiff where there's likely to be trouble?
I belive now moreso than ever given the potential we actually have of going up!

Like I've said many many times boother, they're simply not necessary any more and for the season ticket holding fraternity have ALWAYS been a nonsense.
I'll never get one, prem or no prem and instead of attending 15+ away games a season pre-ID, it's been reduced to exactly zero since there introduction.
........and there must be many others like me?

I don't mind having one, but I'd love see 200 plus extra at away which is what i recon will add to the the following if ID cards to be scrapped. I think it would work if you had category A games fr example, with cards needed for games against the lke sof Cardiff, Leeds, QPR etc
I recon we must be touching the 10k barrier at least for holders of season tickets. I remember when we payed Arsenal, we had 5thousand and we drew Aresnenal something like an extra 3,000 applied. Or haveI just made that ip
