If Stoke were to get promoted,Which players do you think would be capable of playing in the prem league or would it be one massive clearout and a load of new signings.

Simo, Shawcross, Cort, Pugh, Diao, Lawrence & Fuller would all "get by" IMHO. That's a long way short of a decent Premiership team, let alone a squad, and even with Prem money, I'm not sure how quickly we could build a team capable of surviving.
Realistically, we'd be straight back down, but much stronger for the experience. I'd be happy enough to "yo-yo" for a couple of seasons.

We do have an advantage in that if we got promoted this season we would not have massive debts to finance - unlike many clubs which get there. So a large proportion of the TV money (£30 million plus) would be available for fees and wages should Coates wish to spend it.
Personally, I think there would be no shortage of people wanting to co-invest in a virtually debt free Premiership club so I'd hope that Coates would get another investor on board to give us the backing to take us to the next level. Of course, he could decide to sell up completely - unlike now I expect there would be some takers.

Fuller isn't good enough for the Prem.
He's proven that in the past.

Was just about to say exactly the same RAF. Being brutally honest I think Simmo is the only one we could definitely say would get by in a relegation-avoiding team.
Then there are three possibles, with big ifs attached: Shawcross, Diao, Fuller.
That's it though.

How has RAF ended up with -23 karma?

I'd hardly call about 10 league starts for Portsmouth, in a period of his career where his knees were even more dodgy than they are now, proof positive that Fuller couldn't hack it now int he Prem.

It's quite easy Fuggers. Just call an underperforming 'striker' a greedy cunter and VOI LA.

I don't understand the Karma thing, so i'll leave it be.
Simmo yes Fuller yes, possibly Shawcross and Diao.
The undead one would have to pend about £30 million to give us any chance at all of staying up. We are not a good squad of players.

Look how much Sunderland have spent. I think we'd be in for a Derby-like season...at best.

Premiership survival is all about ball retention so erm......none of them!
To be honest I would rather worry about that when we get there. I'd just be happy to see us being the ugliest team ever to feature in the Panini stickers book.

Do you win anything for being the most smited at the end of each season? Ilford will be going all out to win the Exalt race. He must be a dead cert, what with him being a M/B Legend and all.

If we retain (or better) this league position come March - HIT THE PANIC BUTTON guys!
This one-dimensional team of ours has been assembled/is being assembled to do a job, firstly to consolidate and then hopefully to 'push on'. The players we have are almost perfect for this task, but to even think for a tiny moment that our style of football will flourish in the Prem. is living in cloud cuckoo.
Even Simmo, at the top of almost everyone's list of players who could hack it was released by an average Prem side - the rest of them 'no chance'!
If the miracle did occur with our present squad, Derby's current points total would look mountainous same time next season for us.
So staying in this league, even pushing on with the current players is one thing - making a fist in the prem. would be quite another!

Simmo would do I think, he's better than Stephen Bywater at least. Shawcross in time, but not if we go up this season (he's clearly not going to sign for us anyway). Fuller's game wouldn't suit the prem i don't think. Mama could probably do what he does now. The rest just aren't good enough.
