Sorry that i don't know how to use the quote thing properly. I think it is quite relevant. Pupils should obey the teacher in almost all cases, but that's like saying "it's irrelevant that they were told to suck the teacher's cock, it's the fact they didn't follow the teachers orders".
Unless, as sometimes it is, i'm missing the point completely. If so, sorry Serps!

What I'm trying to say is, Allah/muslims etc are irrelevant, she would have threatened detention if they disobeyed an order to pray to zog, the fact it was allah isn't relevant, poor teaching methods is the issue. If they were doing an exercise in christianity and they were told to pray to jesus and they refused she would still have threatened detention, the fact it was allah is irrelevant, it's the BNP crowd who are trying to make it about Islam, when in fact it's just a bad teaching method. I'm not sure i would compare a religious exercise to sucking the teachers genitalia hope that make sense ???

Ah yes, i see your point now. The BNP are bound to grab on to this story and exagerate it in every form beneficial to them. Opposers shouldn't worry, the BNP will never be successful on a scale that would largely effect the British public.
I agree it is a bad teaching method. There are ways to go around teaching school kids about other religions than making them pray in the ways in which the other religions do. But then i've put forward my views on religious education and how it should no longer take place in schools.
The kids were right to refuse to pray to a god they didn't believe in. At school when prayer was being said, i just sat there and didn't say amen at the end. I wasn't going to stand in the middle of assembly and walk out and look a fool! But fair play to the kids who said no.
Teaching as a profession seriously needs assessing, even if it is not helped by the poor parenting that leads to the bad behaviour and complete lack of manners of today's schoolkids. And i'm only 21! Again, i'm digressing.
Serpico, please excuse the comparison of arguably bad taste! I thought you were implying that the kids should obey the teachers orders regardless of what the orders were.
