Always going to be a good day out is this one. Is that Brannigans still open on the sea front opposite the pier. Used to be a great place for a pint or go down south on the back street behind the sea front and search out a small pub called the lighthouse if it is still there. Was tiny though that one was .

Never forget going there with I think it was Paul from Nantwich for a midweek game- was like stepping back in time. Went to a pub and has he was keen to eat ( brave man considering the place) we were sent to the 'cabaret room' with the holiday makers- was like something from the 1920s. How he brought himself to eat in there was beyond me. The 'cabaret room' consisted of some ancient rickety tables ,a floor you had to lift your feet to avoid sticking too and a stage with an ironing board on it !!!!! Never forget the couple sat opposite us who we overheard had got there early to get the 'best table'-
Remember the landlord asking us to behave as well- only thing we were in danger of doing was tidying the place up
