"She had left an empty grey bucket on the white bench next to the wash basin, but all things were gone!! No cloth, dish brush and even the metal plug was missing!? I thought the metal plug was attached to a chain." - Musik, The Mysterious Person in the Laundry Room, Nov. 8, 2024 at 09:12 Thought this was the opening paragraph of a novel at first. 😁 Musik does have a way of weaving cleaning tools and tales of intrigue together that would make the Bard turn green with envy.

Went to Plymouth yesterday to buy 2 pair of walking trousers. 36 inch waste short leg in seal grey and moonlight blue. Tried all the places like Mountain Warehouse, Millets, Go Outdoors and had to get therapy after trying Sports Direct. All failed for various reasons of colour, size but the best one was Sports Direct, their sizes are S, M, L & XL all the same 34 inch leg length. We went into Dingles restaurant for spot of lunch, now Dingles top floor restaurant used to be the place to go with views across the city and nice food. Not anymore since Sports Direct bought them out for a quid few years ago, queued 20 minutes to pay and the seats were worn out & torn, tables not wiped but however the food was good. Went to get the 2.15 Kingsbridge bus back home but found it had been cancelled so had to wait another hour so we sat in Plymouth Theatre Royal cafe and had a cup of coffee, Mrs Lawry had ginger tea as she has dodgy tummy at the moment caused by some new tablets she’s on but the doctor told her to stop taking them for a week to see if it’s definitely the cause. Eventually got home after encountering some rowdy school kids getting on the bus at Plymstock, they turned out good though as they offered seats to a an elderly couple who got on at Elburton. Got home at 4pm straight on to Amazon and ordered exactly the trousers I want for nearly half the cost as I was looking at in town. They’re arriving today.

Wasn't aware Milletts was still going. Both Go Outdoors and Millets are owned by the same company, JD Sports. They are part of Blacks Outdoor Retail Ltd. The Plymouth Milletts was recently rebranded as Go Outdoors.

It’s just occurred to me that I’ve never met anyone called Andy and not got on with them. On the other hand I don’t get on with Lawrence’s. That’s all.

Around 2 months ago I stopped using shampoo and shower gel. I've maybe used shampoo once or twice since but stayed away from shower gel.
My skin and hair feels and looks great. They didn't have shampoos and shower gels centuries ago and we haven't evolved as humans to depend on them now.

No bald spots or reclining going on here either

I don't open curtains or blinds ever. Never have
Lovely day today but blinds closed.
My previous pad, my kitchen and bathroom were below ground level which was great. Was a huge cellar which had converted into a TV room with artificial lighting.
Have to go outside to the mail box
