Help needed please. Anyone else cracked how to watch or listen to Saturday 3pm kicks offs? when:
1. Not available on DAB radio
2. Don't have an FM radio
3. Game not shown or broadcast live on official stream in UK
4. Not on Sky Plus
5. Rob W not doing his stream any longer
One answer is 'buy an FM radio'. Any other solutions before I do? Seems a little backwards in 2024. But hate not being able to follow the game live.

BBC radio Stoke is available on Freeview TV, but you may be unlucky and get PV!
It is a nonsense that you can listen to the pre match build up but not the game on the internet.

Do you have FM in the car? Go for a long drive perhaps, or take someone Christmas shopping and wait for them whilst listening? We have a little Pure One Mini radio (seems to be rather old now, and over £100 if you really want a new one) with rechargeable batteries that does DAB and FM - think we 'bought' it with nectar points! Total 'non'commentary and the bits that he does bother to utter are usually rubbish. Just my opinion but my matchday experience has been ruined after all these years of listening from afar.  don't bother with the drivel any more. |

I picked up a small but more than adequate Sharp digital DAB+ radio from Asda the other day with FM on for about £20 in a sale which does the job nicely. You can get a VPN which makes you appear not in the UK, and then watch the games with a subscription on the official site I think. Might be illegal though.

In my experience living in Devon unless you live in the listening area of Stoke then FM doesn’t work. The club have bought the broadcasting rights for DAB from BBC which effectively means I would have to pay twice because BBC TV licence covers radio broadcast but the club are charging a second subscription to listen to something I’ve already paid for. There was a time when you could listen to internet broadcast but as usual football clubs have ruined that. I think internet broadcasting is only available abroad for listening to games. It’s bollocks and a complete rip off but surprises me not.
