www.telegraph.co.uk/news/2024/11/17/nigel-farage-richard-tice-manchester-airport-police-attack/Here's the Telegraph article. It does feel like a TV show on Dave at this point, complete with Harry Hill as narrator. "In this episode of Two Tier Kiers Most Wanted, two men are caught violently punching police officers and you won't believe the level of polite telling off they receive followed by their crowd funder. But first on TTKs Most Wanted, we doorstep a man who dared post a meme with a mildly offensive message. Don't you worry, the police are sending in armed units to deal with this filth. Merry Christmas? Not for this Nazi as he's unlikely to see it for the next five years!! Remember kids, if you ever want to post an offensive meme, punch a police officer instead" At the end of the day, you can't fault mad Nige for capitalising on the opportunity. The CPS, now more politicised than ever before, seem unwilling to take any action. These two lads alongside the violent police officer should have been dealt with months ago.... The case simply isn't that complex and they've dealt with hundreds of cases lately so there doesn't seem to be a backlog. We're several months on and it's very hard to see them prosecuting the two lads. I assume the police officer is still suspended while they drag out the inevitable public disciplinary and subsequent sacking. He is finished and rightly so, his behaviour was unhinged. At this point, the two lads involved are likely to given some sort of reward I assume? A Two Tier Badge? A leather bound copy of the Labour Manifesto? Perhaps they can get a lift home from their compensation hearing from that guy released early who was picked up from prison in a Lamborghini. You just keep paying your taxes in full like a good little sheep, while we increase tuition fees for your kids. And to think I keep fucking voting for them.

Brilliant post. It’s like those in power are hoping the longer it goes on the more likely it becomes old news. There's clearly a fear around dealing with these young men. I suspect the CPS are terrified of a second social media backlash, especially as the officer was violent himself. All the while they were patting themselves on the back for the hard work dealing with internet meanies, this little problem has just been waiting for the right level of corruption to ensure it's swept under the carpet

Anyone who wants these men to face justice will be against Reform taking action because it could jeopardise the criminal investigations.

Maybe we can set up a just giving page to support the daily battle against the right wing. No, it isn’t against the right wing. It is against idiots. One man's idiot is another man's Badger. Besides Oggy can't challenge the right wing. If him and his missus aren't part of 'the establishment' by profession, they certainly work in and around it far closer than anyone I know. I like to think he's a double agent, he comes across as a good egg, if a little misguided by his metropolitan elite lifestyle.

No, it isn’t against the right wing. It is against idiots. Idiots?? Yes, idiots complaining this case is being delayed when there is an independent police investigation on going that needs to be completed first, and the average length of criminal case to and including the crown court trial is 83 weeks in Manchester. Idiots who complain about supposed 2 tier justice system but want this case rushed through or the accused sent to prison without a trial. Idiots who shout “conspiracy” whenever something happens they don’t understand. Idiots who think this case is as simple as online hate where the poster pleads guilty, and that this case should be dealt with as fast! Many including me continue to point out these things yet idiots still don’t get it. This is not the USA. We do things properly here. Thankfully.

I don’t include him as an idiot on this thread at all (other threads though….) Being part of, or working with the establishment is no bad thing per se. A doctor or a nurse, or a social worker all do. Lawyers all do and like it or not, we are essential to our society. Being part of the elite is the problem. The likes of silver spooned Farage and Johnson and Cameron. The Bullingdon boys. The Donald Trumps etc. The ones who think the rules don’t apply to them and that because of their family and status that they didn’t work to get, they deserve to be treated above all others.

It puzzles me that some people who are normally supportive of law and order generally and the Police in particular have completely lost their shit over this case. They seem to want to abandon all Criminal Justice procedures in this case and operate, if you will, a Two-tier system. These are all recent quotes from GMP, IOPC and CPS resulting from the inappropriate intervention of Farage and his acolytes CPS spokesperson said: “We are considering material and are providing advice in relation to a series of alleged criminal offences at Manchester Airport in July this year" “We are working with Greater Manchester Police (GMP) and the Independent Office for Police Conduct while their inquiries continue.”
A GMP spokesperson said a “comprehensive file of evidence” had been sent to the CPS in mid-August, and the force was waiting for a charging decision.“We continue to support the officers involved and are committed to getting them justice,” they added. A spokesman for the IOPC, a watchdog that is investigating how police officers dealt with the incident, said: “Our investigation linked to an incident in which a number of men were arrested at Manchester Airport on Tuesday July 23 is in the final stages"“ Two Greater Manchester Police (GMP) officers remain under criminal investigation for assault as part of this investigation and interviews under criminal caution have now taken place. “They are also being investigated for potential gross misconduct for alleged breaches of police professional standards including their use of force. “We expect to conclude our investigation into the use of force by two officers during the arrests in the next month and any decision on a referral to the CPS will be made at that point. “The serving of notices does not necessarily mean criminal charges or misconduct proceedings will follow.” www.standard.co.uk/news/uk/reform-uk-nigel-farage-manchester-airport-independent-office-for-police-conduct-greater-manchester-police-b1194645.htmlIf Farage continues his grandstanding all he will achieve is further headlines, which presumably is his purpose. The CPS, as is their authority, will simply take over the case as it's an ongoing investigation. When GMP, IOPC and CPS have concluded their investigation they will reach a decision whether and what charges to bring against the Brothers and/or Police Officers No doubt the hard of thinking will propagate conspiracy theories about a cover up if/when CPS are forced to shut down Farage and if/when charges are brought will propagate further conspiracy theories that they wouldn't have been brought without Farage's intervention. Unfortunately you can't legislate against ignorance It's surprising that support for law and order doesn't stretch to understanding the Criminal Justice System

So rather than prioritise this case to calm the situation down and shut the idiots up, we’ll go silent, drag it on for age, let the 2 tier policing argument rage on and let reform make a political game of the situation. If that’s the law then it’s shit, and not fit for purpose in this age This case has caused an absoloute shit storm and folk are rightly asking questions about it. Attacking airport security staff is a massive no no, and the response should have been much better. So as far as we know these lads just crack on with daily life then do they? Wonderful stuff

Agree mostly mate but you're reference to "mad Nige"... I think you mean "Big Nige" and secondly, you call the police officer actions "unhinged". Weren't his actions merely a "human" reaction to one of the most disgusting acts you're likely to see? Imagine if you walked into walk today and you saw your female colleague repeatedly punched in the face and knocked out. Are you seriously telling me in the moment you wouldn't want the cunt who did it to have his head kicked in? Obviously with hindsight he shouldnt have done it but he's acted with the kind of impulse that any normal human would.

Attacking airport security staff is a massive no no, and the response should have been much better. So as far as we know these lads just crack on with daily life then do they? Wonderful stuff Yes, the justice system is creaking. The tories defunded the Ministry of Justice department more than any other since austerity first came in under Cameron and Osborne. So it takes a long time. I imagine there are bail conditions on the lads. If (when) charges are brought and if they are found guilty, they will serve their sentence. That’s how it works. Trial by Oatcake rather than a criminal justice system developed and refined over many centuries perhaps would be better in some people’s opinion, but as I pointed out before, Ben Stokes wouldn’t be England Cricket captain and would have served jail time. If this case were rushed through and given all the resources (above, for example, the Southport murder case, or the recent stabbings in Manchester), we would have two tiered system. Don’t complain about a two tier system then actively call for it!? Because you might not agree on the tiering.
