Sorry i cant find a thread to put this in.
Its amazes me how these things by pass me as in the knowledge.
Browsing the web well bbc and it appears another football has been arrested this time for rape.I mentioned said article that mentions no name by the way to a few lads.
They straight away said yeah its Partey for Arsenal. He cant go back to spain or he will be arrested he's always conveniently injured when Arsenal play in europe in Spain.
They said its now looking like its happened over here with him. I knew nothing of this or never no the names when stuff like this makes headlines but there seems to be a few that talk about it like its common knowledge.

It’s been a running thing on Twitter for years with Partey.
The Gylfi Sigurdsson thing was weird. Did anything ever come of that?

Took a couple of years mind Ruined his career regardless. Was a talent he was, remember him being bit of a free kick specialist.

Remember seeing a weird Soccer Sunday section with Strachan where everyone was getting particularly pious about whatever the current scandal was. He basically stepped in and said none of it was new apart from social media bringing it to light - he'd played with all sorts of shitebags and nobody in the club gave a shit so long as performed on a Saturday. Always wondered who he was referring to, or examples, but they moved on pretty sharp like.

Marcos Alonso has to one of the worse for me.
In Madrid speeding 70mph in a 30, while over the limit on alcohol crashing his car into a wall and killing a passenger. He ended up getting a fine and driving ban.

It was before a World Cup and De Gea was linked to sex trafficking or something wasnt he? And it magically just disappeared.

Stoke have had their own share of players with serious issues, and when I think about it is quite a long list, to include alleged wife beating and gambling. Apparently, apart from Etherington's gambling problems we have had other miscreants such as Jermaine Pennant and Saido Berahino, and those with questionable attitude or disciplinary records going back as far as Sammy Bangoura. Many such players have escaped censure from fans and have merely been charitably described as "characters" or "playboys" like our own Marko Arnoutovic.

Gambling is a very sad addiction like any other and shouldn't really be spoken about in the same breath as being a total wrongun.

Wow, £700k on a holiday...
Unknown to when the couple traveled to Spain, a source close to Partey said that he is shocked that the woman who forced him to become Muslim could spread such lies, especially after he spent about 700,000 British pounds on their vacation.
According to the source, Thomas Partey has spoken to his family to let them know that the charges against him are untrue and that his partner, Sara Bella, is the one who is behind them.

A player who didn’t get away with it is Luke McCormick who was Plymouth Argyle keeper. In 2008 driving back from a mates wedding early one morning, when twice the limit for alcohol, at 97mph he smashed into a car which had stopped on hard shoulder near Keele services on M6. Two young brothers on the way to Silverstone were killed and their dad seriously injured. McCormick was jailed for 8 years but released after 4 to take up his professional career again. He returned to Argyle in 2013 where he was 1st choice keeper for 5 seasons. He now plays for Plymouth Parkway in Southern Premier League still only 41. When the crash happened McCormick was 23 and tipped as future PL keeper but one moment of madness destroyed that along with a young family.

I remember the video they released of him from the custody suite when the sgt is discussing the reason for his arrest, and you can see and hear McCormick absolutely crumple when he hears the words "causing death". I've no sympathy for people who drive impaired, but I also realise that no one ever, ever thinks that the results will be so devestating when they do. I think most honestly believe the worst that will happen is that they get arrested and maybe lose their job, and that's a heck of a leap to killing two small children and destroying a family.

I have no sympathy for anyone also driving under the influence and he got what he deserved and probably should of got more. The one thing i will say is. Ill be surprised if every day he wakes up he doesn't think about what he did. He must re live it everyday.

He had 1 drink & could've stopped, had another & could've stopped, he then kept drinking... He could then have got a taxi, or a room. He could have not been driving at 97mph ... It's repeated moments of idiotic behaviour. 4 years for that is an absolute joke.
