I'll guess it will be a woman. Seems the UK tend to follow US TV blueprint with the Sunday games, Monday night football etc....
Over here in the US we have Rebecca Lowe heading up the main premier league coverage. Annoying to start off with but now excellent at her job.
There's also Kate Abdo who does the champions league stuff but don't get to watch too much of that.

I don't particularly like Linekar, but he's a very good presenter I think they should go for someone fresh, not your Mark Chapman, Gabby Logan or Jason Muhammed, but I'd go for an ex footballer whose good in front of the mic, I like Joe Hart, think he'd be good It was 100% Jermaine Jenas's gig until that shit came out about him texting someone of the show a couple of months ago |

No not her. Excellent broadcaster but as soon as Liverpool get praised all the boring allegations of bias will arise. Ferfuxache, some people belittled Lester's remarkable 2016 achievement by saying Gary Lineker fixed it for them. |

With every new name that gets suggested I try to picture a huge occasion, a World Cup semi-final say, where the nation holds its breath. And the alternative names are not working for me.
Lineker had not only become a fine broadcaster he had played in those big occasions.
It's a combination which is difficult to match.
We will end up with a cut price alternative and the show will suffer IMHO.
