I see more effort and more team togetherness, but although we are getting more back to defend we don’t pick up or follow and get goal side. Who is the defensive coach at Stoke , I think luck is with us at the moment whilst defending.

We’re certainly indicating. Just hope we see the motorcyclist diving up the inside before we turn

Definitely starting to manoeuvre around the bend.
Better fitness,
Team togetherness,
Settled team from more consistent team selections,
Heads not dropping when we go behind/ better resilience
Cannon firing
Seko is a huge addition to team
We have the best Goalkeeper in the league - Viktor is already a club legend
Defence whilst still a little sketchy seem to have been coached and are getting better
Individuals are improving, Jnr coming on nicely since NP started, Bae starting to get back into form
better home performances, fans seem happier generally
etc

I do tbh…just the general togetherness of the squad, players finding form, the supporters on side…reasons to be optimistic for the future that’s for sure🔴⚪️

Not having it because of the numerous false dawns.
When we are top by four points and one game to play, then I will believe 😂

Facing the right way maybe If we get to 30 points after 23 games (that's 11 from next 8 games so doable) that suggests some progress

Seen to many false dawns to get to carried away!!! I mean, it's not like we've been anything special in our games, anything "BUT".... With Johansen saving our bacon half the time!!!

Players are playing with a purpose and seem to be bothered. Seko, is excellent, Cannon a proper striker, looks to score everytime he gets the ball, not had that for years. Amazing keeper. The captain seems focused on his responsibility.
Still loads to do and improve, but good signs.

I think the good thing is that the manager seems pretty proactive after a sticky start. He’s doing things with the team shape and formation after realising pretty quickly when things aren’t working. He’s also managing players who are perhaps not at peak physical condition and rotating but not too much. There’s plenty to like about the direction we’re going

We're still in 'put some distance between us and the relegation spots' mode. Let's get to January and we can see whether we've developed our pattern of play, level of fitness and individual technique. Having said that I really want it to be true.

By the time we get to face Burnley we might have gained 13 points from a possible 15. That’s top six form and we could well be in the top eight by then. However, it does depend on us beating QPR (old Stoke would gift them a rare win) and PNE (old Stoke would probably lose or draw that one, for similar reasons as QPR but also because it’s probably on TV). But I have this growing feeling that NP is throwing out the old Stoke playbook.

There’s an element of making outer own luck me thinks, a strange concept I know but in footy it makes sense some how.

We're in a miles better place now with Younger more skillful players. Transfer policy is better. We have Junior, Bae, Manhoff Seko Burger and arguably the best keeper in England. Some good loan player to boot. Tezgel and Lowe can only get better. We now have assets instead of deadwood journeymen with no value The football at times is more exciting than previous seasons. The manager/coach is impressing me, having at first no idea of how he would turn out. It will take time though but it looks promising

Similar to that inflect on the Mulsanne Straight, that’s where we’re at, at the moment. But it is a turn at least.

Not sure about turned a corner but there are some positive signs - think we seemed to have settled on an 11 that works reasonably well but beyond that it's work in progress with a manager I do think is leading by example.

Any optimism has to be a good thing right? We’ve not turned any corners yet but we are improving in many areas as mentioned in this thread.
Key thing is not to be phased by the inevitable loss in the near future.

Depends on the corner we are referring to. I don't think we finish much higher in the league than the past few years on average. I do think we are buuilding a cohesive group with the proper characters that MIGHT propell us forward in coming seasons. We need better defenders and an additional midfielder to really push on. But, depends which way the wind blows we could end up woth another DoF, Coach, etc so it could all go out the window quickly.

Well the corner I was referring to is more of a slight deviation, rather than a corner, which I think is about right.
Things do feel different with our new man, this time, though. It’s still too early to say, however, unfortunately.

Not yet, no. Need more control in midfield, to concede less shots and overall produce more convincing performances before I'll start to believe. We've had too many false dawns since relegation to start believing just yet.

We've had too many false dawns since relegation to start believing just yet. I do feel like we had more control at the weekend with Seko in there. That’s the blueprint for me. Don’t run before you can walk, went way to “potentially” attacking at first and realised we don’t have the players to do that thankfully

We have turned a corner once we have finished a lot higher than we have been doing. That's like saying I'll tell you who's going to win this horse race after the winning post He's asking a question. If you don't want to answer then why comment? Don't sit on the fence, simple yes or no?
