Seeing Vincent Pericard's name pop up on the Sol Sidibe thread has got me thinking about his banger against Southampton What's your favourite goal scored for us by a player that you didn't rate? I've always got the memory of it being a 'bullet shinroller' but I've never found any video footage to confirm my memory. I was only 13 back then so could be wrong. Another one from a few years later was David Oldfield away at Macclesfield Town. Shite player but he scored an absolute screamer in front of the away end. It was near the end of the season and our season had long since imploded and I remember us ironically singing 'super David Oldfield' but ironically pronouncing 'David' in the French way that David Ginola's name was often pronounced |

Griffin had one poor season for us, ironically in our promotion season where he played at right back and he wasn't as good. Him picking up an injury at Coventry in the run in was actually important in helping us get over the line and it's probably that memory that taints his image with some fans. But every season he played at left back for us he was fantastic. |
