Well I went into the ground and hoped for the best. And I'm glad to say we were impeccable in the stands from all fans. I heard one shush but no one spoke so can only assume it was in the concourse.

This entire thread has no reason to exist.
Perhaps we should have more faith in people. Very few are actually arseholes.

Why are minutes' silences always described as impeccable?

I remember a few years ago when we used to pass that fucking ridiculous big flag round the poor twats who happened to be underneath it when a minutes silence started had no idea and carried on shouting and swearing and farting through the minutes silence. Then the disgusted from Dresden shushers started and made more noise all than the flag passers put together. A typical SCFC clusterfuck. "disgusted from Dresden" Made my titter that.. Furious from Fenton Horrified from Hanley Mad from Madeley Cheesed off from Chesterton Tamping from Tarporley Adamant from Adderley Very cross from Heron Cross Fed up from Fegg Hayes Blarting from Blurton

I will say that I do respect those who have served and I thank them. I saw the TV coverage of the last post and minutes silence yesterday and I was moved by how well observed it was by everyone there.

Why are minutes' silences always described as impeccable? People would get upset if the adjective 'sexy' was used.

This is why the country needs some form of National Service to be restored. Some of these people just live for themselves, without respect for others. I donβt disagree as such, I follow your working outs. I have to ask though, did you do national service? Late replying as I've just seen your comment. No mate, I didn't do N.S. I was a volunteer. In 1954. N.S. was still about at that time, though.

I saw the TV coverage of the last post and minutes silence yesterday and I was moved by how well observed it was by everyone there. Yesterday at my nippers 16's match, the silence was impeccable, and rather moving when I stood and though about the age of the lads playing football being the same as so many that were conscripted, particularly in WWI.
