Let's see if we fuck it up again this year like we do every year even though it's always the same!

We always fuck it up because the silence should surely be observed whilst the last post is being played. Not afterwards.
I've seen 2 recently. Can't remember the first game (one of the Sunday games I think) and the bugler missed a couple of notes which is a rarity but the one at the Baggies v Burnley game last night was superb. The Bugler was fantastic and the crowd observed it beautifully. No minutes silence followed just a lovely round of applause followed by the customary roar.

Let's see if we fuck it up again this year like we do every year even though it's always the same! By ‘fuck it up’ assume you mean applause instead of silence? If so tbh, I’m of the opinion that a minutes applause is much more suited to a football crowd, where there’s usually at least one dickhead shouting out to break the silence. Applause for me also shows massive respect as we applaud them for giving their lives and allowing us to live ours to the full today.

I noticed these instructions were given out by the PA at a match I watched earlier on in the week and at the end of the last post fans started clapping and giving the Goarrrrn cry 🙄😬🫣🫣!
The players and officials scrapped the idea of the minutes silence at this point!
It really isn't that difficult to abide by a simple moment of silence after the bugle falls silent... is it??!! 😬

It annoys me how we balls it up every year and when you watch others do it, very few have the minutes silence following the playing of the last post. Whatever it is we do, I just hope we do it well for a change.

Yep exactly, lets get this right for once Stoke fans..
**Following the Last Post, the stadium will fall silent** as players, staff and supporters of both clubs join in remembering those who have made the ultimate sacrifice.
The crucial bit the club have even highlighted on their memo..
Hopefully Millwall fans will all honour the silence as they're quite a patriotic bunch aswell. But if they don't or start clapping let's have no Stoke fans shouting over to them or Shusshing them as that creates its own annoyance.
Should Millwall fans ruin it, the silence from the Stoke fans will be deafening to them & they'll soon stop, a slanging match during a minutes silence does no one any favours.

Its so simple just be quiet and as the above thread states don't get involved in a slanging match.
Also I'm not sure if the club are planning a Matija Sarkic tribute, again if so just do the right thing
Finally if there any of those clowns from the away game at Sheffield Utd acting as they do, please feel their collars and advise them accordingly

If people haven't got the humanity and grace to shut the fuck up for 60 seconds of their lives, they shouldn't be anywhere near the planet tbh.

Agree, but unfortunately for the rest of us they indeed are on our planet. Their mentality is similar to Andy Warhol’s 15 minutes of fame analogy in that they lead such insignificant and pointless lives this is their one opportunity to stand out from the crowd. Unfortunately what the morons don’t understand is that they’re standing out in the worst possible way.

I'm actually considering staying outside the ground until it's over as the thought of some selfish cunt(s) ruining it makes me sick to my stomach.
The thought that pissed up adults/youths can't show a modicum of respect for those who have fought for our freedom just grates me.

I'm not sure anyone will knowingly spoil the Last Post and minute's silence tomorrow, I hope it goes of without any hitches but if not it won't be for malicious reasons.
Sometimes when hundreds/thousands of people are still entering the stadium late on there's noise as people haven't cottoned on to the silence happening at that moment......

Someone else mentioned it before but I think giving a minute applause and cheer shows the same respect that they are in our thoughts that this moment is just for them being remembered. But also stops the fuckwits that want to ruin that moment mute.

Just drop 12 UK military snipers on the pitch, if some cunt makes a noise.... headshot, justified.

Just put a message on every TV on the concourse saying "Minutes silence in progress please be quiet whilst taking your seat" so that anyone underneath the stand knows it's happening.....

Get with the program, Poindexter. I've already wound myself up to the point of spittle-flecked fury about a hypothetical situation I've made up in my own head that probably won't happen.

I’m not having it that people deliberately make noise during it. Probably just unaware. Quite easy to forget after a few sherbets and a rushed shuffle to the ground

How can you be blissfully unaware when you walk into a stadium with twenty odd thousand people standing in silence. You wouldn't just go bowling into a church after a few pints yawping and belching. Actually, maybe some would but that's not the point.

Quite easy to forget after a few sherbets and a rushed shuffle to the ground I remember a few years ago when we used to pass that fucking ridiculous big flag round the poor twats who happened to be underneath it when a minutes silence started had no idea and carried on shouting and swearing and farting through the minutes silence. Then the disgusted from Dresden shushers started and made more noise all than the flag passers put together. A typical SCFC clusterfuck.

The silence always follows the end of the Last Post, well it has in all the services I’ve ever attended. I suspect those who have difficulty with getting their heads around it and keeping their gobs shut are boozed up.

Like I said close up the gangways 5 minutes before. They did it to great effect at QPR a few years ago.
