Managers have a sell-by date. 7 years is plenty long enough at one club. Even TP went on seven years, and he was welded to the stadium.

Apparently they were dreadful last night against a poor Derby side The match stats have Coventry bossing it and Derby fluking a win. 70% possession for Coventry and Derby 1 shot on target and 2 goals!

Seems crazy looking from the outside. He's done brilliantly with them and I'm sure alot of their fans won't be too happy with it.

Another Head Coach is sacked. To be honest, it hasn’t surprised me.

People said the same thing when we sacked Pulis. Then they felt vindicated 5y later when we got relegated; conveniently forgetting the fabulous 3y immediately following his sacking.
The only opinions I give major consideration to are the coventry fans. If there was rifts forming within their support, and a general desire for a new direction, then I completely understand from experience.

Robins would be a good fit for us. If a vacancy were to arise at some point in the next year or so I wouldn’t be against him at all.

Schumacher could be back in the game… Not even in the main odds seems strange Fish any perspective on why seems a bit odd , unless he’s made it clear a sabbatical is his preference

Losing to Derby is a big deal. They were awful at the weekend. That's one game mate. Hes a very good manager. The absolute cynic in me wishes we weren't on a two game streak (especially after conceding another 20 plus shots last game!)

70% possession in this league means nothing mate Perhaps, but 1 shot on target and 2 goals is some stunt! I vaguely remember an Oatcake article containing the summary of a Vale game as "They had one shot on target and scored with both of them".

The Coventry owners must be insane. Robins took them from obscurity, no players, no stadium, no money to within a penalty kick of the Premier League whilst selling Gyökeres and Hamelin for combined fees of well over £40 million. Sure they’ve had a poor start to the season but bags of time for him to put it right. Like I say, insane!

Whoever takes Robins on will have one of the best British managers in all the divisions outside the Prem. I would probably have him here in a heartbeat - what he's done at Coventry is nothing short of outstanding, one poor pen from the premier League and a matter of centimetres from an FA Cup final after starting out broke, in league 2 and having to deal with all the SISU stuff off the pitch as well. Does well with developing players, either to be sold for a profit and bringing through youth players (which we seem to have the best bunch of for a long long time). Think the 2 wins this week (and Super Johansson in goal) have saved Pelachs skin to be honest, despite looking leakier than Julian Assanges Twitter feed.

Big fat Frank Lampard now odds on 😳 Their squad is good so they won’t go down but that decision would be up there with Birmingham last year.

I think it's an absolute joke that they sacked him. Not far off playoffs given how tight the league is, a win could have swung them higher. After what he has achieved at the club you think they'd give him some leeway and some loyalty, but no, taking a club from League 2 to the Championship playoff final in 5 years really does not earn you any time does it?
Think whoever hires him next will do well, and the Coventry board will notice how much of a mistake they've made. Have seen the fans already turning on them, think it's going to get nasty if results do not turn around immediately.
I wonder if they have someone lined up to replace him as this seems to have come from nowhere.
